It's Calzaghe's fault. He knew the steps he'd have to take to get a Hopkins or Jones fight. Top US fighters do NOT go overseas, and even with his Showtime wins, he's not that known in the US. He would have had to sever ties with Warren, make a fight in the US (probably on a PPV undercard), win impressively, start going on ESPN calling out Hopkins and Jones, calling them scared, etc. If the $$$ was there, if the public interest was there, then they would fight him.

You see Hatton learning from Calzaghe's mistakes. Hatton has dumped Warren, he's been coming over and doing US press, ringside at the big fights, on ESPN, etc. Hatton is doing now what Calzaghe should have been doing 5 years ago if he was serious about Hopkins and Jones.

I believe he wanted to fight them, and he would have done well against either, I think. But he was ignorant to believe either would come to the UK to fight him, or that he could just transplant himself from fighting in MEN arena one day and Mandalay Bay headling PPV against top P4P fighters the next. He and Warren both knew better, and they were making lots of money doing what they were doing so they didn't want to take that risk. Risk and Reward are tied together.

              You're an idiot.

I read an interview with Calzaghe right after Jones beat Ruiz where Joe said Roy was the best on the planet, and he admitted he wanted no part of him and never did.

              He's a *****, and a coward. He's WASTED his career.

              I already told you.

He MIGHT be able to say a few guys avoided him if he went a year or two without a significant fight.

But ten years and his whole career spend fighting NO ONE of signifigance?

That shows that there's NO ONE TO BLAME but himself.

He's a homer, he was sheltered and protective, and now he's washed up having WASTED his career.

Maybe 10 years from now one single british MORON can spam and nut hug about what a marvel he was on a boxing site where no one gives a **** about what he has to say.

You expect us to believe that? LMFAO!

"I'll never fight Joe Calzaghe cos' he's too dangerous, he's young, fast, powerful, hungry, and he's unbeaten. I can make easier money fighting easier fighters." - Roy Jones Jr after the Glen Kelly fight

I don't care what you believe, you're full of ****, and as biased and delusional as they come.

The bottom line is that Calzaghe has WASTED his entire career avoding challenges and crying about how everyone is avoiding him.

He is washed up, and he's accomplished nothing.

                    A complete and utter waste.

He's 40-0, and he's the longest-reigning world champion in the whole of boxing. He's held the WBO super-middleweight title for eight years now, and during that time he has beaten former WBC super-middleweight champion and Olympic medalist Robin Reid, former WBC super-middleweight champion and Olympic medalist Richie Woodhall, former IBF super-middleweight champion American Charles Brewer and former WBA super-middleweight champion American Byron Mitchell. He hasn't lost since 1990, he won three ABA titles at three different weights. He's accomplished a lot so far, and wins next year against Lacy, Woods and Tarver before retiring would throw him into the HOF and make him a true legend.
