unification would be most probable without don king. i mean, he's not even put forth even a mediocre effort to unificate titles so far.

you don't need vitali to unify titles when you have 3 of the 4 title holders under your promotion. where is ruiz/byrd, byrd/brewster, ruiz/brewster, or brewster/ruiz? nothing has been mentioned at all. and i don't expect it to be.

dk is mostly worried about losing control. this will come in due time.

What does that have to do with the article?

        Nothing.

It's just a preliminary excuse becuase Vitali fans fear he may try and go the 'Oleg Maskiev' route again.

The bottom line is that without fighting the other title holders, or a guy like Toney, Vitali will be doing what he's been doing since he won a vacated portion of the title: fighting weak fighters outside the current top 5.

That's fine, but articles like this and critisism towards him in general with be more than justified.

He gets the lion's share of the acclaim at the moment, and he flat out has done nothing in actuality to deserve that.

He's 34, and if he boycotts King for the next two years and doesn't fight for any of the other titles, he's only hurting himself and his long term credibility.

If he retires with Hassim Rahman and Larry Donald as the top names on his resume, he goes down with title holders like Bruce Seldon and Herbie Hide. Not even close to garnering Hall of Fame consideration.

Time is agaisnt him, and with the division up for grabs there's no reason why petty politics should prevent him from fighting in the biggest fight possible.

Look at what signing on Don King to CO-promote did for Lennox Lewis and James Toney in reccent years.

The "Big Bad Don King" card.

Another Nut Hugging ideal designed to use as a preliminary excuse for Vitali opting to take weak fights down the road.

There's nothing saying a Don King Co-Promotion woulnd't be benificial down the road.

You all speak like it's an impossibility.

wait, you think toney's a credible opponent?

i mean, he's a good fighter, but the only probable way of him beating vk is to outbox vitali, which has never happened so far.

well, good luck rooting for him anyways.

Toney easilly beat Ruiz, and outside of the Title holders, he's really the only other guy (along with Wlad who we know Vitali won't fight) that's a credible opponent.

Toney is waaaay more credible than Rahman.

Either way, you're back to your "I think he'd beat him" mentality.

That doesn't justify hype, or = any kind of credibility.

I would say Vitali would be too big for JT, but Freddy Roach is convinced Toney can pull it off, and Toney talks about Vitali like he's no challenge.

That humor alone makes the fight attractive, and if Vitali beat JT, it would be the best win on his resume to date. No one has come close to beating Toney at Heavyweight.

He's an all time great, and a credible current Heavyweight.

who can vitali prove himself against i ask, no one and u know it, rahman just a mandatory who is living of a lucky punch , toney? isnt he just a fat old middleweight? who people say will beat vitali but when he doesnt just use those excusses, byrd? byrds no where near what he was years ago i dont think anyone really cares that vitali "lost" to him or if he fights him again, Brewster is the only one who some people can make a cliam vitali can prove himself with, and ruiz? laugh har laugh, calvin brock is to green, peter has already lost to the lesser klitschko imo, and besides no matter what he does from now till he is done all the haters like hobo no so, will always bring up the lewis fight and the byrd fight and thats it nothing else no matter what. hobo if u dont like all these flaming jlitschko threads and are tired of seeing a thread everytime why are u making this one yourself? o wait lemme guess "its to show u little kid blah blah blah your only 17 blah blah blah shut up blah blah blah blah blah, same thing over and over

I agree that beating Rahman would do nothing for his rep, however, beating VK would do a lot for Hasim's rep. If he beat him with style.

And why would you put a pic of all your homeboys on the internet??? especially if you were all as hard as you are trying to be. With names, that's ****in' ******. If they are your boys, do they know that anyone can see them and their alias right now???? I could be a cop.
