that article is pretty bad. it can't get more biased than that, can it?
if vitali doesn't seem to have high level competition, it certainly is not his fault. and not his fault what weight his prior opponents came in at.
It's not half as biased as the crap NP posts.
There's a lot of truth to the article.
You're right about it not being Vitali's fault that guys he's fought came in out of shape, but the point is, he is completely undeserving of the overwhelming hype HBO has created around him.
He is not "the" champion, and beating Rahman does nothing to push that agenda.
The article is absolutly correct. He doesn't deserve any of this hype that currently exsists until he's fighting other title holders.

bozo, i don't think that there is anyone in the division who he can beat that would satisfy you're needs.
i think most people call him "the" champ because they don't see any current heavyweight definitively beating him. which is most feasible in my humble opinion.
and about the hype, if he don't overly hype himself as is the case, the promoters will. it's part of the business, and really has nothing to do with the boxer's skills themselves.
back to the article, complete bull**** if you ask me. what is this writer trying to accomplish. trying to make the division seem like it's worse than it is? either way you see it, a klitschko fan, a rahman fan, or neither, it's a bad article for boxing imo.

False. Anyone with another major title, or James Toney.

And that's the quintessential Nut Hugging ideal.
Ignore the fact he has two wins against C level opposition in the last 23 months, and talk about how you think he'd beat everyone around at present.
Until he does, this overwhelming hype he gets from factions like HBO and the Ring are completely unjustified, and that's the point of the article.
The fact remains that it is one of the weakest points in the history of the division, and not only that, but the 4 "title holders" all have yet to face eachother.
I see nothing wrong with the tone or point behind the article. It isn't talked about enough as far as I'm concerned.
It's absolutly correct. Beating Rahman doesn't prove anything. All it does is speed up the process which (everyone should hope) will lead to unification.

ahh yes, the unification process which will of course be circumvented in every possible way by don king and his fighters who are terrified of the klitschkos.

Again, signing on Don King to co promote title unification fights would lead to title shots, and million dollar pay days.
Look at what signing on Don King to CO-promote did for Lennox Lewis and James Toney in reccent years.
The "Big Bad Don King" card.
Another Nut Hugging ideal designed to use as a preliminary excuse for Vitali opting to take weak fights down the road.
There's nothing saying a Don King Co-Promotion woulnd't be benificial down the road.
