If you look at the level of competition in title fights, and you are honest with yourself, u have to admit that Byrd's is superior. That can be said regardless of what u think of Byrd's performances in those fights.

Could you try calming down for a minute and taking a breath?

The point is,

Calling Byrd "the" Champion is no worse than calling Vitali "the" Champion. Both of them hold "a" title, and haven't fought anyone noteworthy or done anything impressive enough in the last few years to warrent any special consideration in a time when the title is clearly vacent.

You just read something about Byrd and ignored the rest of the article and used it as a platform to freak out and start bashing Byrd.

Take it someplace else.

The bottm line is that Vitali hasn't done anything or beaten anyone that makes him anymore viable as "the" top Heavyweight than Byrd.

The top spot at Heavyweight should clearly be vacent until someone unifies the titles.

byrd may have fought better people, but he got many gift decisions, ALL of his past fights have been exremly close, against b level fighters. vitali has fought decent competition, and absolutly DOMINATED them. the article is wayyyyy to biased.


Is beating a grossly overweight Kirk Johnson,(tko 2) a fat Danny Williams (tko 8) and a part-time golfer in Corrie Sanders (tko 8, after he dominated wlad in impressive fashion and was expected to be a legit contender)more impressive than beating Jameel McCline,(SD) DaVarryl Williamson(close/boring fight) and a hard fought draw with Andrew Golota (and getting a gift decision against oquendo)
