with both fighters at the corners he clearly say lets go = fight = time in, then he looks @ the timekeeper to make sure the clock was running that's it .. everything was legal .. Ortiz try to headbutt Mayweather on that round 3 time .. he is the dirty one stop crying he was going down anyway it was just the 4 round and his right eye was already closing . make no diff if Cortez was looking or not

not true, cortez had no control didn't reset the action properly, and should've established "TIME IN" first, before calling the action, THEN TAKE HIS EYES OFF OF THE FIGHTERS, WHICH IS HIS JOB!!!!! TO WATCH THE FIGHTERS, NOT SAY FIGHT THEN GO AND PAY UNDIVIDED ATTENTION TO THE TIME KEEPER!!!

all of the years of professionalism between, cortez especially, but all fighters involved, i'm not buying it, because it was amateur hour inside that ring, with supposedly the sports top level elites inside the ring........ excluding ortiz, but he's been a fighter for more than half his life, he knows the rules, he knows the main rule..... and cortez knows the rules too!!! and he didn't follow protocol either.....

it was scripted like some WWE ****....... the opportunity for floyd to crack ortiz cleanly like that was WAY TOO MUCH TIME AND WAY TOO EASY!!! NOT ONE BUT TWO!!! GTFOWTWS!

Cortez, Ortiz and Mayweather, they all did something wrong...

1.Cortez was not in control of the situation.
2.Ortiz headbutt was ****** and he shoudn't apologize a 100 times for it, one time is enough and please, no hugging.
3.Mayweather took advantage of the situation knowing that Ortiz was not ready to fight.

The result: A poor fight with a bad ending...Not the fight of the decade, not the fight of the year, not the fight of the week, not even the best fight of the night...

Exactly, said it better than I ever have. But the ref is supposed to call time in before he tells the fighters to fight. Cortez knows that, he's been doing this for years. All of a sudden he got it backwards? Sure, sure he did.

Ortiz got exactly what he deserved,he pulled the blatant foul than hugged and even kissed may lol than wanted to hug again and make up a 2nd time ffs,a simple touch gloves is enough, ortiz is no joe frazier or ali or a mean guy,in boxing when your in the ring that mean spirit pays off,it's usually called tenacity.

I loved the ko,sure it was a little cheap but no worse than what ortiz pulled! Mays cheapness just had the better result, don't be haters lol it was a legal ko and it was ortiz who messed up!

OPINIONS ARE LIKE AZZHOLES,EVERYBODYS GOT ONE!!

what sucks is that I pay $60 for the fight and floyd always bragging about ppv buys and now i feel cheated and floyd you *****, You're making millions and you aint' paying my cable bill so the least i expect is for you to stay under control ans whoop that ass but instead you chose to resort to the thug thay's exactly why you are rich but never will be wealthy because for one the way you are as a person a disrespectful and ugly human being and two for the way you worship money, make the money dont let the money make you you ignorant bastard i hope pac knocks you in to retirement but i really doubt it because you are a great all around fighter but a poor excuse for a human being, just like when they put pitbulls to fight is the way you act, at this height of your carrer you should have grown up and know you cant change the world let alone how people want to perceive you but the older and more money you make the ******er you become and its down right embarassing. the way you spoke to your father, forget that it was televised. when your father is gone, then what? you probably don't care anyway, you said it, you're ok with or without him in your life. if you dont wake up, you will end up rich alone and maybe even broke, remember you're a black man in this country and the black men that struggled and made it possible for you to live the life you do now did not have this kind of life in mind, now humble down, forget any tests and go get pac, cuz i know u can beat him

                      Cortez messed up!

Cortez was put to ref one of the biggest fights and should have been clear and thorough with instructions and should have paid attention. Us as fans our left with questions on what would have happened. I think Ortiz on his part Fu@#ed with all that love in and out of the ring. Mayweather seen that and took advantage, that's what boxing is about finding weaknesses. I look back at the fight and would order it again if their was a rematch, I'm not gonna bit$% about it and say I would rather watch ufc. I'm a true boxing fan.
