I rarely make comments about peoples' spelling usually about my own typos for which I always add an apology. Since you noticed it before I did, I don't need to apolgise.

I sometimes make well warranted comments about peoples' ignorance and low level mentalities, like yours now, for instance.

I agree. I wasn't sure how much press this fight was going to get with NFL,college football and ,baseball going on.

If it was the other way around and Floyd got KO'd by that headbutt none of you haters would be complaining. The double standards that goes on, on this site is a joke.
Another example of ignorance and low mentality. (I didn't say "yours". No I didn't...)You assume that if Ortiz KO'd Mayweather with a butt, we'd all be "happy ever after", instead of assuming what mentally normal perople would assume, which is that Ortiz would be DQ.

All the people who say Floyd runs can shut up cuz he's an in the pocket fighter, very smooth and a good watch. I'm pissed he ended it like that.but in a way you haters had it coming. Good **** Floyd. He was just starting to turn it up... U can clearly see Floyd very upset about the butt... He was tryina fight right away... He's quicker and more of a warrior then ppl thought

If I was Freddie Roach watching this fight, I'd be chomping at the bit to get Pacquiao in the ring with Floyd. Floyd's foot speed is below average now. His hands are fast, and his straight rights are a thing of beauty, but he is a one trick pony (straight rights, one at a time). He does not and probably cannot let his hands go. He is also there to be hit with the straight left. Even Ortiz who never ever throws a straight left was landing that punch every time he threw it. The thing that will make freddie salivate for the fight though is the foot speed. Pacquiao has elite foot speed and his use of angles and turning is about as good now as I've ever seen. Shoulder rolls are ineffective against that type of attack. There is a reason why shoulder rolls are used predominantly against the ropes (think James Toney who was as good as it gets at this)--because against an attack that is stationary, it is highly effective. That isn't true when someone is moving and coming in and out at ridiculous angles.

That being said I'm going to go on the record and say this fight will never happen. Floyd will never fight Pacquiao. He's way too smart to not see that Pacquaio is a very bad matchup for him. Styles make fights and Floyd's style is one that ill suits him to fighting Pacquiao at this point in his career. When Floyd was younger and fleeter of foot, things might be different. But not now. His lack of a jab essentially ensures that he has no way to keep Pacquiao at bay and Pacquiao's foot speed will overwhelm Mayweather's defense. This fight will never happen because of that.

If Floyd got KO'd by a headbutt? Then Ortiz would be DQ'd for certain. I'd have been unbelievable pissed if this had happened. I was pissed that Ortiz tried to headbutt him in the first place; I'd have gone ballistic if it had caused the fight to end.

And did Arturo Gatti deserve to be sucker punched twice by Mayweather? Let's not act like this is Mayweather's first time doing this. Gatti was always a clean classy warrior. There was zero reason for Mayweather to do that to Gatti. What is your excuse for that?

This was going to be a stoppage sooner or later. Between every round on HBO, all they showed was Floyd's right hand landing squarely on Victor's face. He had nothing, and I mean nothing for Floyd. Floyd was backup up a boxer that weighed 147 pounds more than him and was teeing off at will. Floyd got into Victor's head. Do you know how demoralizing it is for Victor to talk all of his ****, hit Floyd, then Floyd just shakes his head like, no, you ain't got **** for me. This Floyd was better than the one that fought Mosley.
Fighting flawed fighters and beating them with cheap shots means nothing to me. When Pacquiao takes out Marquez in November, that's not going to mean much to me either. For true boxing experts, Floyd's performance last night showed a lot for him to worry about in a fight with Pacquiao (lack of foot speed, lack of offensive diversity, lack of combination punching, lack of a jab).

And great fighters don't win by cheap shots. hacks and classless fools do that. Why would Floyd do that? There is no excuse. Greats like Sugar Ray Robinson is rolling over in his grave. That type of crap is a disgrace to boxing. Ortiz is no saint either. His attempted head butt was a disgrace, but I expected nothing less from such a mentally flawed fighter.

I know what i say is just gonna lost in all these threads but, everyone deserved some of the blame last nite, but none more than Ortiz. Bottom line is, he brought it on himself trying to butt Mayweather and for not protecting himself. you get slapped by a left hook and you keep looking at Cortez? come on dude. you know better than that.

it might of not been classy of Floyd but it wasn't illegal. He did what he had to do.

Cortez needs to retire. He is senile. he embarrassed himself and boxing last night. nothing else can be said about that. Hang up the bowtie son. you shot to ****.

Its not about whether ortiz would have got a DQ or not its about if it had happened you would have had *******s on here laughing about it and calling Ortiz a great guy for doing it. Mayweather throws a cheap shot (but a legal shot) and he gets blasted for it. I have never praised Mayweather for his cheap shots against Gatti or Mosley. I don't deal in double standards. Floyd never broke any rules and that's that. If he hadn't have don't it and dominated for 12 rounds the haters would still find fault with his performance.

after calming down and watching replays (THANK GOD FOR YOUTUBE lol)

what Floyd did probably wasn't classy...but it was LEGAL! not sure how people can expect him to be classy when his opponent just purposely headbutted him

Like Dan Rafael said on ESPN...he kinda got what he asked for

with all this BUZZ I think they should do a Rematch, HBO 24/7 would really be entertaining after this controversy...but I think Ortiz is actually glad all of that is over, I think he was extremely overwhelmed not only in the fight but with all the Media Coverage leading up to the fight

but of course you have Mayweather haters who was going to hate on the guy NO MATTER HOW THE FIGHT ENDED so they are stretching with stuff like "Ortiz was winning the 4th Round" "Ortiz was going to come back and Knock Him Out" blah blah blah
