Seems to me that Ortiz is exactly the type of guy that Floyd gets accused of having ducked throughout his career.

      Younger
      Bigger
      Prime
      Power
      Southpaw
      High output

Sure Ortiz has flaws. Who doesnt? Cotto and Margarito had obvious flaws too but we still all wanted to see those fights.

Keep in mind too this is a comeback fight, no one knows for sure how he will look. Floyd challenged himself this time. And if you dont think he did, then id like to know who was a bigger challenge at WW not named Pac.

      I give it a 8/10.

I don't see why he should get any by the standard Floyd himself created.
He really does contradict himself all the time.

I was thoroughly impressed with Ortiz's performance against Berto. I think he showed a lot of heart and did a lot to redeem his "quit" against Maidana. With that said, I don't think it will be that great of a win for Mayweather (given that he does win, of course). It's a decent win but not a great win. It's a good tune up. Hopefully he won't take as much time off after this fight. We need to see the Pac/Floyd superfight!

7-8. Depends on how he wins.

I don't believe Ortiz has hit his prime yet, and I can't just forget where he was the fight before Berto. However, he's as good an opponent as Floyd could fight except for Pacquiao. You can't possibly dismiss it if he wins, especially if he wins like I think he will.

I'll give him no credit at all...cherry picker.

            j/k

I'll say a 7 out of 10 if he wins. It is a good win especially because of the age and potential size advantage that Ortiz might have over Mayweather. The elephant in the room is how inexperienced Ortiz is in fights of this magnitude as well as Floyd's obvious advantage in skill and Ortiz's propensity to get hit easily with right hands.

Can't wait for the premier tonight

He gets a lot of credit. He's fighting a hungry and younger fighter. Stop downplaying his accomplishment.

He should get credit for a young, strong hungry fighter. Thats all.

Ortiz is clearly not as good as even an over the hill mosley. He'll try to muscle floyd but eat elbows to the face all night thanks to floyd's personal ref being blind to it.

Ortiz nearly got countered into oblivion by hypejob berto. *****s have amnesia over this to sell the rest of us into a competitive match and give floyd more credit than he deserves but we all know floyd will counter him with ease especially with inside fighting being taken completely out of the equation.

The compubox numbers saturday will reveal what a farce of a fight this really is.

                      quit before.
                      lackluster against campbell (grandaddy)
                      mediocre at best against peterson
had a WAR(mind you it was competitive) FOTY with an HBO protected berto.

come on now dawg your score is too high. subtract 4-5 points.
