If you want to say beat the #1 to be the #1 then Floyd is #1 because he beat Mosley while he was #1.

There is no #1 as of now just a couple of #2s jockeying for the top spot.

Floyd retired after he beat Hatton. Every ranking he has is gone. He came back and fought Marquez then retired. He came back and fought Mosley then retired. Now he came to fight Ortiz then retires once again. You can't be serious putting Floyd ahead of everybody when he was keep retiring in the game.
