depends on Ortiz, Floyd will go into cruise control if he has the chance, ive no doubt about that, but he can only do that if Ortiz lets him. If Ortiz goes for broke Floyd will carve him to pieces

I doubt we will see Floyd score a stoppage again as long as he fights (barring the event of a soft tune-up or something). To score a stoppage at welterweight he'd need to put a concerted effort into it as he doesn't have the power for it to just come naturally, and we all know he's not willing to take that risk. He's perfectly content coasting to decision wins.

What if Ortiz is dead serious about going out on his shield after taking so much heat for the Maidana fight? It could result in him leaving his chin out to dry all throughout the later rounds. If Mayweather is served a KO win on a silver platter ala Hatton, I honestly think he'll take it. Mayweather didn't need nearly all of his power to put Hatton away. His power is slightly underrated Imo. He's not an incredibly hard puncher, but he's not a soft puncher and when given target practice. His accuracy compensates heavily.

Another factor that can be misleading Imo is the JMM fight. It was curious for a lot of ppl, myself included to see Mayweather allow a veritable sitting duck to survive the 12 rounds.. However the reality of that fight is Mayweather wanted to put rounds under his belt, I don't believe that's the case this time around.

against JMM Floyd only got out of 2nd gear once, and he dropped JMM, after that JMM didnt put much pressure on him

Right, but Ortiz is bigger and his style is more akin to all out agression/pressure. Jmm's pressure is calculated, so when the consequences became clear. It resulted in both of them having less engagements. I don't think Ortiz is going to make that sort of adjustment. I think he's going to just keep ****ing his head against the wall and harder. Which would result in one of the two fighters going down.

Admittedly, Ortiz could go out with his tail between his legs and/or Mayweather could ride his bike in the championship rounds. I personally think the boxing world will have a pleasant surprise that the stars have aligned and these two stars are actually going to clash full on.

pretty much what I think, I reckon Floyd will get a late stoppage but it all depends on Ortiz's approach once he's been outclassed for half a dozen rounds
