Ortiz has to stay on Mayweather's left side (he did it against Berto, but he can improve upon it)...
He has to continuously push Mayweather back and stay on the inside (if he wants to rest, it has to be on the inside, instead of the outside footwork he does; he's a sitting duck if he does that)...
He has to take a page out of Pacquiao's book and use his footwork to feint (since he doesn't have much of a jab, he can successfully use it to work his way in, along with the 1st suggestion and his straight left and right hook to the head and body to keep Mayweather busy)...
Once he combines the above, he'll be able to close distance consistently and effectively. Controlling the geography is better than 50% of his problem against Mayweather. After that, he just needs to let his combinations go at over 60 punches per round to the head and body and they'll land if he's on the inside.
