calzaghie won't make it to the top 100......this is about resumes. he's lacking WAY too much in that regard. fighters have to do everything to be considered atg status. calzaghie didn't. i even rate fighters like roger mayweather & Tommy Morrison over calzaghie. theres way too many fighters that i have to put above calzaghie.

    he's not 100 ATG material.

ATG resume right there! 21 Title defences baby!
by my rough count louis fought 17 guys who were ranked in the top 3. calzaghe fought 2(3 if you count hopkins at lightheavy). lol.

Not sure how many amateur fights he had but I seem to recall somewhere about 70-80. I could be wrong.

I believe he had one close loss and swore that after that loss he'd never have another one.

Sorry, just checked him out and the report said..."reputed to have had an amateur record of 110-10.

I'm not questioning Joe Louis' credentials, in fact i have him at #4 on my all time heavyweight list, but the vast majority of the guys he fought, whether they were top 10, top 3, or whatever, had multiple losses, several with as many as 30 or more losses. Only the very top guys had 5-6 losses or so. Like Ezzard Charles for example.

I wouldn't put Morrison nor Mayweather even close to Calzaghe, although I'm not sure that he would make top 100.

Laszlo Papp had over 300 amateur fights when they fought like pros, ane even he had 3-5 losses. He has the reputation of being the greatest amateur of ay weight ever.

Easily Top 50 all time ahead of Hopkins and Roy Jones Jr.

Id have to really draw out my list to see if he makes top 20. Lots of greats from the past.

Louis dominated a **** erain boxing as did calzaghe, but when calzaghe had to step up to the plate against the elitee he won hands down.hopkins is still winning titles 3 years down the line and has been unbeaten since.plus the fact jc tried to make fights with hopkins jones and pavlik but all turned him down,so not his fault if the so called best refuse to fight him

Louis is atg but i bet you say klitschko isnt because the division is weak today yet the likes of tony galento where world class.
                      Calzaghe rates highly
