So, does Pacquiao hit hard or not in the higher divisions ?

It's kind of confusing. Pacquiao's power was undoubtedly fearsome on the lower weight divisions.

But I feel it's not clear now. A lot of people, including Mayweather, base their allegations that Pacquiao is on something because he has carried his power throughout his multiple weight classes leaps.

But, if we listen to some of the guys he has been fighting, some say he doesn't hit hard, which should not be a surprise since he is a little guy fighting bigger guys. Others say otherwise.

    Fatcs :

David Diaz at 135 : ''I can take his punches, the speed is the problem.''

Poor Diaz eventually ended face first on the canvas, but he took a lot of punches before doing so.

De la Hoya : "Pacquiao doesn't hit hard.''

Ok, you didn't get ko'ed, but you quit before eventually getting TKO'ed.

Hatton is still sleeping on that canvas where he was dropped. No comment made there.

Against Cotto, Pacquiao proved he does have power, but even there, the shot that hurt Cotto the most is a left hook flush on the jaw that he didn't see coming. Cotto was stopped on his feet by a merciful Bayless.

Clottey was wobbled once, but his style doesn't leave a lot of free shots. I don't know whether or not he commented on Pac's power.

Margarito : ''He doesn't hit hard.''

Well, your cheekbone says otherwise. Cheato was also wobbled near the end of the fight I believe, a right hook he didn't see coming.

Mosley made a trip to the canvas and admitted he was pretty hurt. Mosley took the best shots of De la Hoya, Cotto and Margarito and never went down in those bouts agaisnt these legit welters.

So, which one is it like Mayweather would say ? Pacquiao has some great and su****ious power in the higher classes or he doesn't hit that hard in the higher classes and is just getting stoppages thanks to his angles and accumulative punishment ?

Yes he does... That's why people stop throwing punches.. They feel the power and just cover up.. He's on something.

he has the power to hurt anybody at WW

and at 140 he's got bonafide one punch power. ricky hatton will tell you that.

we haven't seen that at WW yet, but he broke antonio margaritos face and hurt him to the head and body. that fight should have been stopped

dropped cotto and wrecked his face

busted oscar up and almost dropped him to the body (in his first fight at WW when he was a much smaller guy)

caused josh clottey to shell up and do nothing (clottey also says pacquiao is the hardest puncher he's ever faced, for what that's worth)

dropped and hurt mosley as bad as anybody since vernon forrest (a huge puncher at his best) and mosley insists that pacquiao is the hardest puncher he ever faced (for what that's worth.)

at the very least he's a good puncher at WW

STFU TS, didn't you hear/read what Floyd said? Pac has been knocking out his opponents since he moved to welter, now can you imagine Floyd going up to Heavyweights knocking out the Klitschkos, Arreola, Haye, Adamek??? Well?? That's how BEASTLY Pac has become!!!!! That's fucking su****ious if you ask me!!!!

Guess Hearns was on something too, he carried his power to LHW from WW.

Y'all seem to forget that @ 122, as soon as Pac connected lights were out. @ 126 really the only guys that took his power was JMM. @ 130 Morales and JMM but they ain't exactly chinny guys that back away from fights. Dude was born a puncher and yes he's hurting these big guys, he's not putting them away.

some how pac's style converted well into higher weights.
but i would also have to say pac looks great because of opponents choices. a lot of come forwarders who walk right into shots (see margarito lol). shots hurt the most when you don't anticipate them that's pac's biggest advantage. translating that speed into damage.

i'd lean on the accumulation of punches landed rather than power .

He definitely hits hard at 147. And speed is power. Especially when you don't see the punch.
