    WBO super featherweight champion Ricky Burns may be on the verge of vacating his title for a move to the lightweight division. Contrary to numerous reports stating that Burns is traveling to the United States to face mandatory challenger Adrien Broner on November 26th - Burns' manager, Alex Morrison, appeared on BBC Radio and said the fight is in doubt because Burns is having issues with making the weight.

      Shame, I was hoping Burns would raise his level of comp, but looks like he'll be fighting a few more tin cans.

          Burns was much better off at 130 than 135. Lightweight is a much deeper division, and I can't see him beating any of the top contenders.

            Thats more like it, Pure genius by warren again, link their name to an up and comer knowing they wouldnt really take the fight, i thought Warren was drunk when the fight was annouced but now i know why..

                Good news!

                Ricky Burns would be a fool to go to the USA and take on an Al Haymon-managed boxer in his hometown, with a crooked referee and judges.

                If Broner wants the fight, he should go to Scotland, where the fight would draw thousands of fans.
