imo zavec won rounds 1, 4 and would have won the 5th if it weren't for the headbutts which obscured his vision. compubox stats confirm it.
i don't know what the cards were but berto sure wasn't in no control. berto looked completely frustrated, constantly peeking at his corner what to do. the headbutt was a goddamn gift for him.

Didn't notice that when it occurred, it changes my view. Too bad though it was a good scrap and very competitive in every round. I would like to see a rematch.

they are both about the same height. that's partly why the butts happened, and with berto tiring going forward with his head too much. i think the ref even warned berto to watch out.

Andre Berto was getting worked by a no name like Zavec. When I saw the cut I knew it was from a head butt and HBO commentators tried playing it off. Berto was gassing and getting frustrated. not impressed

but ya i had it fairly even when they stopped, maybe zaveck had the edge. good scrap though and my gut was telling berto was gonna get knocked out.

I was surprised how well Zavec fought and I think that if he doesn't get a rematch, at least HBO should honor him with another fight on the network against someone like Mike Jones or similar, I do suspect that Bob Arum is too afraid of throwing in Jones with Zavec
