I doubt 50 cent plays money telephone with Floyd off camera. He'd probably throw the block back at Floyd upside the head after coming to his senses.

Also, he seems so insecure with the way this episode portrayed him. Saying it's so boring and all when HBO just takes what is given to them and try to make something of it. By deduction I suppose he was thoroughly entertained with HBO showing him calling his father a gay slur and making little children in his gym cry.

On another note, Oscar seems just as phoney as Floyd and transitioning well into a hypocrite promoter.

I didn't know about Ortiz hiring an assassin to kill anyone... :0 that would be a breath of fresh air this show desperately needs. Tracking down Ortiz's father for a showdown would be way more interesting than more "My parents left when I was 7" x20. Then the editors could formulate some sort of parallels about troubled fatherhood relationships and boxing for both Floyd and Victor.
LOL ITS FAKE MAN, YOU MEAN TO TELL ME YOU DONT SEE THIS???

No wonder this country is becoming a police state, when fools believe everything they see on television.

That is sad that you would even contemplate its real when Floyd has stated its a character he created.......

    Is WOLVERINE REAL?
IS HUGH JACKMAN REALLY WOLVERINE AND DOES HE WORK OUT IN THE DANGER ROOM?

DOES HUGH JACKMAN REALLY HAVE A ADAMANTIUM SKELETON??

DOES HE HAVE X6 SHARP CLAWS THAT RETRACT INTO HIS FOREARM??

Is Jean Luc Picard really a psychic??
Is he really cripple with the ALIAS CHARLES XAVIER, and does he also captain a space ship???

Come on man its a character that teases his opposition and makes fun of them...

Has it ever dawned on you that maybe, just maybe Floyd has knowledge of some stuff he feels would really get people excited and that the editing job doesnt reflect that??

    MAYBE THATS WHAT IT IS.

    • Floyd's complaining aswell. The thing is if Floyd actually had some education he would be more entertaining. I'm sorry but Floyd bragging about money is sooo played out. Who wants to just watch 24/7 for Floyds dumbazz ignorant comments? Floyd is boring at this point aswell. His style is boring aswell. If you don't chase him he looks like ****. If Floyd's finding it boring than he should pick up his own promoting. I've only seen Ortiz on 24/7 once. I've seen nothing change with Floyd in 5 different 24/7 episodes. Floyd is still saying the same **** he was when he fought Oscar. The guy is not this flamboyant entertainer that everyone thinks he is. They need to fool the public to sell tickets. that means your not a ticket seller.

Well if he created it then he's not very bright. Floyd stutters too much and his brain does'nt work fast enough to be in this entertaining position. He does'nt have enough education and says things that are awkward even for his so called character. Floyd is a good athlete but a dumb person. HBO had a hard choice to make. They have this really good athlete that can't speak. So they encouraged him to act a fool.

Yet he picked every single one of them to beat Floyd.

What an F'ing idiot. Does he think people don't pay attention or what?

I swear good thing Richard Schafer runs GBP. And, he just there for namesake. Because if that idiot ran that company it would be in the ****ter right now.
Oscar pissed me off when he did that. He's not only marginalizing Floyd's opposition but also giving Ortiz a false sense of confidence. Oscar made himself look ****** as well, if you were DONE then why did you continue to fight? God he just rubs me the wrong way. I think Ortiz's size advantage is being exaggerated as well. Only 1 inch taller and he's the one who will have to drain himself to 147 then rehydrate 10-15 pounds like he usually does. I would assume that takes its toll on the body. I don't believe his physical attributes will be enough. So much for being bigger and stronger.

and why make things racial anyway?

Floyd has been saying ******ed shit lately.
                Specially with the ****phobia.
Actually, Blacks are not doing the worst in the country.

That statistic has always been skewed and believed by lesser educated individuals. That number reflects the number of CONVICTIONS, not the number of crimes actually committed. The majority of crimes in this nation go largely UNSOLVED.

In other cases, non-Blacks receive probation far more frequently and have their crimes lessened to violations so not to have misdemeanors or felonies on their record to reflect a more true statistic.

So when the prisons are filled with Black males, on paper that statistic looks very true, but the real truth is that 12% of the population is hardly committing 70% of this nations crime. Especially when Blacks typically occupy urban areas and the rural areas of LA, AL and MS.

Blacks are responsible for their fair share of crime, but statistics have been skewed for decades to reflect a racist agenda much in the same way that most people think that Blacks have ever been the group who receive the most welfare and/or affirmative action benefits. It isn't even close, but those who would perpetuate that agenda speak of ratio as opposed to the true number of individuals so not to depict an accurate picture.

Who have risen in this country more than Blacks .. who were ******, could not learn to read or write by law, were even oppressed 100 years after being granted freedom by Jim Crow laws and the Klan, who could not vote, could not receive fair and equal education until Brown v. The Board of Education, and could not receive fair and equal treatment until the Civil Rights movement.

All the while Blacks were on the boats with Columbus and NOT as ******, the first man killed in the American Revolution was a Black, Blacks fought in the Revolution, Blacks fought in the Civil War, Blacks fought in WWI, they fought in WWII, the Korean War, Vietnam, but it took until 1964(Civil Rights Act) for non-Black America to even think about leveling any playing fields.

I'd say that Blacks rose amazingly. Just 51 years ago, Blacks for the most part couldn't compete with Whites in ANY other arena other than sports because they weren't being educated. Education is key. After 1964 there are Blacks in every post that Whites have held and its not because of anything being given. In 51 years Blacks have caught up to Whites despite Whites having a 400 year head start.

I'd really say that they've risen. Wouldn't any honest & rational individual? To be fair, I ask you how many other groups, ethnic or otherwise have had to deal with such adversity, but are now top professors, scientists, doctors, engineers, bankers, lawyers, political scientists, mayors, governors, senators, state reps, secretary of state, supreme court justices, police chiefs, diplomats, four star generals, national security advisor, chairman of the joint chiefs of staff, navy seals, and quite frankly geniuses.

Did you guys know that there is a American girl, who happens to be an actress, whose IQ is higher than both Einstein's and Stephen Hawkins' own? Her name is Nicole Robinson. Google it. By the way, she's Black.

                I digress.

I guess what I was trying to say was that Floyd had a point.

                • There Was Once a Woman Who Had Immortal Cells

There Was Once a Woman Who Had Immortal Cells

Today I found out there was once a woman who had immortal cells.

These immortal cells have multiplied to the point that if you were to weigh all of them that live today, they’d weigh about 50 million metric tons, which is about as much as 100 Empire State Buildings.

So who was this woman and why are scientists keeping about 50 million metric tons of her cells supplied with fresh nutrients so they can live on?

The woman was Henrietta Lacks and her immortal cells have been essential in curing polio; gene mapping; learning how cells work; developing drugs to treat cancer, herpes, leukemia, influenza, hemophilia, Parkinson’s disease, AIDS…

The list goes on and on and on. If it deals with the human body and has been studied by scientists, odds are, they needed and used Henrietta’s immortal cells somewhere along the way. Her cells were even sent up to space on an unmanned satellite to determine whether or not human tissue could survive in zero gravity.

Go to just about any cell culture lab in the world and you’ll find billions of Henrietta’s cells stored there. What’s unique about her cells is that, not only do they never die, in contrast to normal human cells which will die after a few replications, but her cells can also live and replicate just fine outside of the human body, which is also unique among humans. Give her cells the nutrients they need to survive and they will live and replicate along forever, apparently (almost 60 years and counting since the first culture was taken). They can even be frozen for literally decades and later thawed and they will go right on replicating.

Before her cells were discovered and widely cultured, it was nearly impossible for scientists to reliably experiment on cells and get meaningful results. Cell cultures that scientists would try to study would weaken and die very quickly outside the human body. Her cells gave scientists, for the first time, a “standard” that they could use to test things on. Even better, her cells can survive being shipped in the mail just fine, so scientists across the globe can all use the same standard from which to test against.

Henrietta Lacks herself was an impoverished black woman who died on October 4th, 1951 of cervical cancer at the age of just 31 years old. It was during getting her cancer treated that a doctor at Johns Hopkins took a sample of her tumor without her knowledge or consent and sent it over to a colleague of his, Dr. George Gey; Dr. Gey had been trying for 20 years, unsuccessfully, to grow human tissues from cultures. A lab assistant there, Mary Kubicek, discovered that Henrietta’s cells, unlike normal human cells, could live and replicate outside the body.

Henrietta died of uremic poisoning, in the segregated hospital ward for blacks, about eight months after being diagnosed with cervical cancer; never knowing that her cells would become one of the most vital tools in modern medicine and would spawn a multi-billion dollar industry where her replicated cells would be bought and sold by the billions.

She was survived by her husband and five children, the surviving members of which still to this day live in poverty (one who is homeless on the streets of Baltimore) and were long ignorant of the importance of Henrietta’s cells to modern medicine.
                  Bonus Factoids:

                  • A few days after the “March for the Cure” for polio, Henrietta Lacks visited John Hopkins after developing a painful knot in her cervix. Little did she or anyone else know, just a few short years later, subsequent events as a result of her visit, would help provide the cure for polio the nation so desperately needed.

                  • On the day of Henrietta’s death, Dr. George Gey, the head of Hopkins tissue-culture research lab, holding up a vial of Henrietta’s cells to TV cameras, announced to the world a new age of medical research had begun; one that would allow scientists to come up with cures for things like cancer. It was a very short while later that Dr. Jonas Salk was able to cure polio with the help of her cells, which had recently been put into mass production.

                  • When Henrietta’s cells were originally taken, they were given the code name “HeLa”, the first two letters in Henrietta and Lacks. When members of the press got close to finding the source of the cells and came close to finding Henrietta’s family, the researcher who grew the cells made up a pseudonym, Helen Lane, to try to keep the source of the cells anonymous. Because of this, her real name wasn’t publicly known until the 1970s.

                  • Henrietta’s immortal cells weren’t just important in aiding in finding cures for diseases and the like, they also ended up indirectly causing major reform in how scientists worked with cell cultures, in terms of making sure that samples weren’t contaminated. While studying some breast cancer and prostate cells, one scientist discovered what he was actually looking at were Henrietta’s cells. What had happened was that Henrietta’s cells floated on dust particles in the air, and managed to survive doing so, and contaminated all the cultures in the area. This created a big problem as it turned out this wasn’t an isolated incident and scientists had been unknowingly working with many samples contaminated with Henrietta’s cells.

                  • When Henrietta’s husband first learned about his wife’s cells, he misinterpreted what the doctor was telling him on the phone due to the fact that he only had a 3rd grade education; he thought the doctor was telling him that his wife was still alive and scientists had been keeping her in a laboratory for the last 25 years and using her to experiment on.

                  • Henrietta’s cells were the first human biological materials ever bought and sold. This literally launched a multi-billion dollar industry. Henrietta’s family and descendants almost all live in poverty, including one of her sons that is homeless in Baltimore. The family has not been able to hire a lawyer to try to get what they feel is their cut out of each sale of their mother’s cultured cells.

                  • The Lacks family lived in Lackstown, which is land located in Clover ******ia. The land was given to the black Lacks family by the white Lacks family, who had owned, as ******, the ancestors of the black Lackses. Quite a few of the black Lacks’ were also descendants of the white Lacks’.

                  • Henrietta Lacks’ body lies in an unmarked plot on the family burial ground next to her now abandoned and falling down childhood house. Nobody knows which grave plot is hers.

I just thought I would especially share this to let all of you know just how touched by Blacks you REALLY are. Go Google Henrietta Lacks to verify.

Learn, live and make the world a better place.
