Lets try to keep this simple, not sure why a debate of racism is taking place but anyways real fight fans know Berto is simply an ok fighter, he hasn't proved to be anything better. He got a gift from the Callazo fight, he got beat by Ortiz, and according to compubox Berto was getting hit way to often, while not landing as much and wasting a ton of energy against Jan Zaveck. Jan was never rocked in the fight and definetly had no reason to be tired. Sure the guy is flashy but his timing and head movement is not good enough for the elite fighters. Someone in this thread said it perfect: he may be 27 but he is already regressing as a fighter. I see Pacquiao probably taking this fight if the Mayweather fight doesn't go through.

YES, so doesn't that make Zaveck a good fighter instead of crapping on Berto? We know Berto is ok but dude has been in some good fights and all the guys who gave him problems or beat him were good fighters (Collazo, Ortiz, Zaveck).

No doubt, this was a legit fight.

Im interested in Berto's next move. He really should give Zavec a rematch, but his people won't let it happen. He just might get a Pacquiao fight if Mayweather goes back into retirement for 2 years, and assuming pac gets by marquez.

And for all the idiots that say Berto is not that great...well why dont you go fight him.
                Ortiz earned that belt period!
He's good, not great, for a boxer. Ortiz will lose his belt to Mayweather and should rematch Berto for another repeat performance.

31-21 And You Have a IBF Title? Who Is He & Who'd He Beat?

Never heard of this fool!!! A record of 31-21 and he had a title is embarrassing. It's not the titles, it's about fighting the best. I hope Berto isn't dancing in the streets like he did something special. He beat up some journeyman, nobody. There are plenty of bigger names out there for him to fight. Maidana, Ortiz, Rios, Morales, Marquez, Khan, Margarito, Cotto, Pacquiao, even Bradley.
