But he busted the dudes face up.... We cant start playing what if games now.... What if he beat Ortiz? He wouldnt be even fighting Zaveck.

Zaveck lost plain and simple, he was cut, didnt protect himself enough and got bloodied up. Had the fight continued, Zaveck would have been really hurt...

Remember there were writers asking him if he was basically done if he somehow lost. I read every comment, but I didnt post in any of the berto threads, even though I knew he would beat Zaveck.

Going into this fight, Berto knew what was being written about him. And he had that on his mind. Good to see he bounced back.... Now he needs to step up his competition and eventually redeem his only loss thus far.
What the hell? Did you read Berto's mind ore something to know how he felt?
Basically you say Berto could have had his way with Zaveck , going to the cards dominantly or stopping him early but instead of these two good ways of winning which would demonstrate his ring savvy and explosiveness he decided to "prove a point" by showing lackluster defense , excessive clinching
and poor inside fighting technique . Yeah that sounds pluasible

Honestly I find it so funny how everyone was writing Berto off and saying that this Zaveck guy who was Berto's mandatory for so long would give Berto problems but once Berto stops this guy, then he is still not impressive? Posters on this site are like girls for real. Finding any excuse to crap on a fighter because they personally don't like him. I'm not so much into Berto as a fighter but still, he came back and did what he was supposed to do. Will see what the future holds for him. Dudes on here talking about they weren't impressed but he busted Zaveck face up and went toe to toe. Critique'n every little thing like girls at the prom. Just enjoy the damn fight.

When has Berto's D ever been good?
So him proving a point was getting hit by flush shots over and over?

No it isn't he is all offense and no defense but there will be no complaining on my part he is what he is a fighter who relies on punching with speed and combos and becoming as Max said an "Action Fighter" but very little technique as it comes to the subtle nuances of the sport

I agree, I'm just analyzing the fight before the cuts and giving my opinion how I thought it was going, can I not do that now? The fight was close and I felt Zaveck was coming on strong, but of course Berto deserved the win cause he busted him up. Not taking anything away just saying Berto wasn't looking too hot but he came up with victory.

Is the text in bold not true? Did he not give Berto a tough fight before the cuts?

Anyone notice ledermans card first said Zaveck 10 Berto 9, then it said Berto 30 Zaveck 27, he said three rounds to zero Berto, I think lol. Then it said Berto 37 Zaveck 39. I'm confused as usual
