such a close fight. every round was very close, but berto was slightly edging zavec in most of them. very disappointing. now i hope you see why it's so frustrating for vitali fans (and all boxing fans hopefully) to see lennox acting like he actually BEAT vitali.

Same ol Berto imo, he did seem to catch his second wind a little quicker he was breathing heavy after the 2nd rd but recovered.. but I think the biggest issue with Berto at this point is wear and tear, he's been in too many wars and slugfests over the last 2 years and while he's an exciting fighter its begining to take its toll now, Berto is not a young 27 the Berto I use to watch at fight 24 25 was prime and way better an would have most likely KOed Ortiz he just seemed to regress over these last couple of years and he's likely on the downside of his career now, and people wonder why lil floyd stresses not taking excessive punishment so much..

Good stoppage on the part of the corner, Dejan could have gotten seriously hurt in the next round with that eye , but maybe they should of had a look if it was caused by a punch or a butt.

Good win for Berto, but if dude's face had held up I think Berto might have been in trouble. It's like he wasted all his energy in the first two rounds and ran into the same stamina issues he always does. I don't think he was gonna win the fight had he not busted up Zaveck's face, who IMO was coming on strong and finding his shots.

By the looks of the picture, I have a feeling that Andre Berto is going to smash this dude.

Berto knows he has a lot to prove on the come back trail. Dude ain't trying to lose back to back. Now he has a new title. Not bad.

There were alot of people picking Zaveck to beat Berto. Is Zaveck a bum now that Berto beat him? Including me I thought this fight was 50/50 and it was kind of 50/50. Both fighters fought good even tho Berto's d is suspect as usual.

His D isn't suspect, he was trying to prove a point. If he tried to box the man and went the distance we would be hearing he couldnt even take out Zaveck..... If he stopped him early like he did, it would be, well zavecks a bum.. He had a lot of pressure on him to win tonight and he did, he can rebuild his confidence going forward off this win...

Remember there were writers asking him if he was basically done if he somehow lost. I read every comment, but I didnt post in any of the berto threads, even though I knew he would beat Zaveck.

Going into this fight, Berto knew what was being written about him. And he had that on his mind. Good to see he bounced back.... Now he needs to step up his competition and eventually redeem his only loss thus far.
