Styles make fights. This kid is no mug & he'd certainly beat the **** out of almost anybody in the middleweight division. Sturm is rated 2nd by most bodies, he just got a gift against Macklin who has lost & struggled with some right cans over the years & why? it's not because Sturm is a bad fighter, styles make fights. He fought Macklin at Macklins game & was lucky he didn't come unstuck. Most, even the Germans had him losing.

Same with Lara vs Williams, I said Lara will beat him, most people laughed. I said this kids style is wrong for Williams. They laughed & laughed & Lara beat the **** out of him & again, got robbed!

Fair enough & I do think he showed signs of ring rust but he looked quite good in my opinion though I felt he switched off in the middle rounds a fair bit & I felt the judges gave it closer than it actually was.

I am not saying Barker is ATG or he will knock the head off Sergio, kind of saying he is a decent fighter being underrated here.

People by the thousands are picking Marquez too beat Pacquaio, Ortiz to beat Mayweather, etc

All I am saying is Barker deserves more respect, even if it is just for stepping up so much & fighting Sergio. I don't see many guys wanting a piece of Sergio right now, Barker jumped at the chance & I have faith this kid will give a damn good showing.

Win-lose-draw Barker will give it his all, which maybe not enough but hopefully it'll see the guy get bigger fights in the future & prove him worthy of being at world level.

oh , no doubt....i ve seen barker fight only twice on you tube ( never seen him live on tv) and gotta admit he seems like a decent fighter but a decent fighter can look good vs mediocre fighters.....what im sayin is, barker has'nt beaten anyone worth mentioning unlike pirog for example who beat atleast a very recognizble legit contender in jacobs.....

and i agree with sergio being overrated...the man is inlove with himslef right now too and i hope your right about the outcome....

Actually that tread was not yesterday & I wasn't confused about a thing, you were. I made it rather clear that the fight you brought up really wasn't on my mind because i don't even take the farce seriously. Yup, pretty clear about it.
