Darren Barker can beat Sergio FACT!

Now Sergio is one hell of a fighter but the guy is a rhythm fighter. His power is overrated as hell all because he K.O'd Paul Williams.

You lot sit there :bukkake: oh King Sergio you look so great beating these guys, let me kiss you Sexy Sergio, you just beat up a robot.

Now he has really amazing lateral movement which confuses opponents but seriously has anybody ever studied this guy?

I have noticed in real time, never mind had to slow the guy down. He lays down the same traps, he throws the exact same combinations over & over again.

    Jab, straight left.

    Parry, jab, straight left.

Lead left, right hook, straight left.

Feints the jab, jab, straight left.

Now this is probably a case of easier said than done, but IMO he often looks better than he is because his opponents A/ have a poor or no gameplan at all, B/ his recent opponents have prepared poorly. C/ his movement & simple things which are bad habits such as dropping his hands, makes the guy look flashier/better than he is.

All this talk of Martinez vs Pac or Mayweather, yh the weight difference is a big factor but both guys are technically leagues ahead of Martinez, they are both way way too clever & would school Martinez.

Pavlik has virtually zero boxing I.Q, he looked like he had never sparred/fought a southpaw before in his life. His tactics was awful!

People don't realise William can not adapt, I said this way before he fought Quitana! he fights the same way every single time, it had nothing to do with this ''blueprint'' his style is and always was playing into Sergio's hands. He did exactly the same in the 2nd fight, he has always done it, he did it against Cintron, Wright, Quintana, even after Martinez when he fought Lara, the guy can not adapt, it's simple as that.

Barker can beat Sergio because he knows how to fight southpaws, he learned to box fighting southpaws, the guy has sparred with the Cuban national teams etc

He is a tall guy with very fast hands, he is not going to stand in front of Sergio, following him around, drooling at him like he's hopelessly in love, eating jabs & straight lefts.
Barkers a very intelligent boxer with good tools. He is technically 20 times the fighter Dzinurik is. He would box the ears off Macklin, who you all said had no chance against Sturm.

Win-lose-draw, I am telling you, everyone of you is wrong & Barker will shock you ALL. He might not win but you'll say ''Wow that idiot from boxingscene was right, Barkers doing bloody well, decent fighter''

He is taller, he has the reach, he is as fast as Sergio if not faster. This isn't because I am from the U.K and supporting my fighter as I hate most British boxers in fact the only ones I rate are Froch, Brook & Barker. I don't even rate Burns or Khan.

This kid is damn good and you'll see. Most underrated boxer of the last decade.

I am a massive fan of Sergio but the guy simply isn't as great as he is made out to be, far from.

Agreed, if Sergio Martinez fights with both hands tied behind his back, Barker defintley has a chance.

Man, I've seen Sergio switch up strategies several times in a single fight. I don't know how you haven't noticed that if you have seen him fight before. He will demolish Darren Barker in October.

I'm glad you point this out because I'm sick of people saying dude should fight BIGGER people when almost all his opponents are bigger than he is.

I hear that a lot as well, Pavlik, Williams, Dzinziruk, Margarito, Cintron too name a few was all bigger than Sergio, in fact most of them are 6ft+ and walk around at 180+
I expect Sergio to beat Barker but I seriously doubt extremely much it'll be easy by any means.

Yeah, Martinez giving a 29 year old undefeated fighter his chance to get his shine on. But this one is either flying under the radar or recieving hate like Floyd is for giving the young guys a shot. Too bad there's no shot to **** big name fighters around 160 to throw on a ppv.

I don't know a whole lot about Barker.

But I thought Sergio had a really good win against Dzindruik. A fighter that was ducked by many.

                Sergio destroyed him.

A fighter with Barkers tools is going to be a handful for any fighter! He is very fast & you hear all these people say ''so & so has a good jab'' when reality is they have a sloppy, lazy jab & can not mix it up. There are actually 5 types of jabs & Barker has a very good, fast jab & uses his range well.

The kid is no mug. He's a very skillful kid who in my eyes is being written off something unreal & people are expecting him to get blown away in a round.

He a lot more well rounded the the likes of Dzinziruk, you'll see, guarantee he'll make a lot more fans after this one.
