    I agree.

I wish for ONCE, the WBA would do what's right and refuse to sanction it.

But watch, in next month's WBA rankings they'll include Holyfield, to accommodate the promoter's wishes.

i agree mostly, but It's happening all the time with IBF, WBC, WBO too.

Wasn't rahman a mandatory for Wlad?
Can't say i remember if Briggs was a mandatory for Vitali. Was it?

Does the age 48 Holyfield have a chance?

          Who will win?
Holyfield could win and probably would if he had anything left in the tank. I think he'll be just a little short on work rate to get this job done.

This fight is good for both of them.

Povetkin gets a big name on his resume and Holyfield gets a good paycheck

Holyfield can't knock him out at 48yo and he is not getting the decision whether he'll deserve it or not.

Rahman was ranked IBF #2 and became Wlad's mandatory in the fall of 2008 after the #1 Povetkin backed out claiming an injury.

Briggs was not a WBC mandatory, he was already in the WBC rankings around #10 though.

You're right, all the sanctioning bodies do shady stuff - the WBA is the worst though.

Povetkin will win with ease. Not that beating Holyfield at this point means anything.

I like Povetkin, and that he is trained by Teddy Atlas, but it's a pity to see him beating up a legend who should be retired by now. It's obvious Sauerland arranged this to give Povetkin a good name on his resume, while Povetkin is more or less wasting his talent. Atlas said he wanted to let him fight 4 times a year? Well, look at his fight record.
