Evander Holyfield vs. Alexander Povetkin: who will win?

I see this fight is on the BoxRec schedule now for Dec 17.

Although Sauerland is denying it's finalized, Dan Rafael said yesterday it's being advertised on posters in Zurich.

Does the age 48 Holyfield have a chance?

        I don't think light-hitting Povetkin will stop hard-headed Evander.

Look at Povetkin's face after the Chagaev fight -- he's marked up badly, but Ruslan looks fine.

I gotta admit, just to spite Teddy Atlas, I'd love to see Evander win this, but I'll take Povetkin by decision.

Povetkin UD. Maybe TKO/KO if he really pushes Evander. I doubt that.

Povetkin by UD. If this was in the US then I'd give Holy the benefit of the doubt by winning a SD.

Holy is certainly shot to pieces but he still has decent movement.

Povetkin by wide, wide, wide, unanimous decision.

I think people forget how easily Evander was beaten by Sultan Ibragimov.

                This won't be close.

I think it will happen because povetkin is the kind of fighter to have it his way, choose an winnable fight as first defence and continue to avoid the brothers for aslong as he boxes.

I'd give Evander a chance. A slim one but I wont write him off completely because this is a man who looked washed up vs Bobby Chyz and then went on to batter an invincible looking Tyson. So I wouldnt put it past him to steal a decision over a fat Russian even if he is 48

                    Povetkin.

                    This fight shouldn't be sanctioned.
