On a side note, gamboa never even won his WBA title, he won a interim belt and then tehy kept upgrading him, to regular, superduper,ect,ect,ect.

Haven't we, as fans, been complaining about these so-called sanctioning bodies for years? The organizations, along with the promoters, have been killing boxing slowly for a very long time: incompetent judges, uninspiring match-ups, abusive treatment of fighters, you name it. Does the WBA's actions toward Gamboa surprise anyone? Truth be told, Yuri didn't deserve their belt in the first place. Can you name the champion he beat to gain the WBA belt? That's right, you can't. Chris John was "elevated" to "super-champion", while Gamboa was made "regular" champion. It's all a crock.Comment

the alphabet letters sactioning bodies are crazy.especially the WBA but this particular situation is arums fault. if you look at arum's responce.he's not really mad because to not pay the fee in the next fight is more money for dirty bob's pockets.i see right through arum.Comment

WBA & WBC are definitely the worst.
Would be so nice if they just disappeared. Just have The Ring belts to worry about and have he IBF as the main body.Comment
