WBO and IBF are legit belts in my opinion. At least, both still maintain a one world champion per division. And they don't make a habit of making title eliminator match or declaring "Regular" or "Super" champions.

I just hope the WBO and IBF maintain their honesty and just have a one division champion throughout history from past, present to the future.

Top Rank, Golden Boy, Dibella and the rest of the promoters should come up with one title for each division. Then use that as opposed to paying WBC, IBF and the rest of crooked organizations.

The WBO does have interim champions and therefore does not qualify for the 'one champion per division' rule. The only one that has one champion per division, enforces mandatories, and will strip you if you don't follow the rules, ala next-day weigh-ins, is the IBF (for the most part).

Interim titles are not champion titles

WBA and WBO have found plenty of idiot promoters in countries like russia and ukraine who are simply buying the title fights , that's why they're so trigger-happy to take the titles away from the real champions . What was povetkin-chagaev fight ? You watch Povetkin now and his opponents : holyfield , then rahman e.t.c. Pro-boxing has become pro-fraud nowadays .

While I agree that the WBA and WBC are jokes, this particular rule is designed to protect fighters. By checking weights gradually during the lead in to a fight, it ensures fighters aren't dropping weight unsafely and jeopardizing their health. For Arum to act like this rule is pointless is just plain ******. he knows better.

Who cares about these belts anyways I mean their should only be one belt in each weight class and the rest of these fighters should be fighting for that number one spot which is the champ in that weight class. I mean this thing is getting ridiculous with all these belts you got like four right now and they want to add a 5th with this silver belt. And they make the fighters give up their money paying fee's. Instead of the other way around these belts should be for promoting the event and being giving these fighters some more money in their pockets.

I'm not sure what you're referring to. It's the IBF's weigh-in rule. But how does weighing-in again the morning of the fight "ensure fighters aren't dropping weight unsafely"? The rule is designed to protect one fighter from being severely outweighed by the other, as in the case of Arturo Gatti vs Joey Gamache. Gatti weighed 160 lbs. the night of the fight, Gamache weighed 145. The end result was Gamache being brutally KOed by the much bigger Gatti.

However, I agree that Arum is pretending to be ignorant about the value of the IBF's weigh-in rule. (Surprise, surprise....) That being said, the WBA has extremely vague reasons for stripping Gamboa...and even giving him a strap in the first place!
