Maidana might not have held a "legitimate" World title but there's been guys out there who have but they beat bums to get that title or was literally gifted it. Judah was the IBF champion a few months ago but he wasn't really deserving of it. These ABC Titles mean very little, Maidana doesn't have a title but is clearly top 3 or 4 in the JWW division.

Maidana is better than a bunch of "real World Champions" out there.
Amir got knocked out by Prescott. Maidana only managed to wobble Amir. Both are bums with power. Maidana gives his all when he is INSIDE the ring though. I'll give him that. But outside the ring he acts like a proper diva.

Zab beat Matthysse, who has the same power as Maidana but has better technique and is smarter in the ring. After that he knocked out Mabuza who Kendall Holt couldn't beat, let alone knock out.

Maidana is a relentless bum with power. His ring IQ is extremely low. He can't even cut the ring off properly. Why be a pressure fighter if you can't even cut the ring off properly?

Me downplaying Maidana, doesn't necessarily mean downplaying Amir's win. I think it's safe to say that pressure fighters, with power, a good chin, are Amir's Kryptonite. Styles make fights. But that doesn't mean that Maidana is less of a bum. If Bradley fights Maidana, he will have him backing up. No doubt.

A how anytime Maidana talks outside the ring he is very respectful after being told under two weeks out that Guerrero was injured putting a big fight for Maidana to the dumps Maidana did'nt call Guerrero scared or any names but wished him the best a luck unlike Khan who accused Maidana off paying Guerrero step aside money

Id be willing to bet Bradley beats Maidana in a more dominate fashion then Khan did(and yes Khan did Dominate Maidana as well but got into trouble)..What you think???

I criticised Amir when he made that Guerrero comment.

Maidana respectful? Have you seen Maidana's Twitter?

Could be. I think in the Maidana fight, Amir wanted to prove to the critics that his chin isn't as weak as thy said it was. If they fight again, I see Amir beating him more decisively.

Bradley-Maidana has FOTY written all over it. Khan-Maidana was more of a clash between two styles. The bull against the Matador. Bradley-Maidana would be bull vs bull. With Bradley being the much smarter bull obviously.

I agree he should have had to fight someone for that belt, esp considering imo opinion he lost in a close decision to Morales. Once Morales found his range, and got his rhythm going, Maidana couldn't do much against him, too smart, too tough, and far superior technique.

I also think maidana is highly overrated and has been fortunate to pick up a world title, but he possibly deserved that luck as I thought that he nicked the Kotelnik fight.

All in all the idea of "super champions" and regular champs is dumb and has further complicated the sport in a negative way. But in Maidana's case I think he will probably lose it sooner rather than later anyway, but at least he can make himself a couple of decent pay days, he has earned that.

I agree, but I think Maidana vs TBA has FOTY written all over it..That dude is just an exciting fighter..But I agree with you on both accounts..Bradley would be the smarter bull..Khan would beat Maidana far worse in a rematch...
