super middle is a crap division. calzaghe and ottke both grabbed belts and defended them 21 times at the same exact time without ever fighting. bute already has 8 title defenses but against who? steiglitz already has 4 title defenses but no one knows who on earth he is. calzaghe is no all time great for doing what he did because as you can see it's just not that hard to rack up title defenses in this division.

the super six is the only good thing to ever happen to this division. notice how the guys who are fighting the best don't have the longest title reigns? its because fighting the best takes a toll on you, you have to prepare harder and you can easily lose. more risk and you should get more reward for it. unlike mr. calzaghe who took less risk but still wants the same reward. a couple tough fights at the end of your career when you are ready to cash out does not equal all time great or an all time great resume. doesn't work that way.

so let me get this straight, you're only concerned about elite fighters (of which there are maybe 4 or 5 in the sport at the moment) that dont match up.

you dont care to see the guys a level below elite square up against each other?? that seems strange man, and i dont think you really mean it, I think you just want to hate on Froch and said that to back up your already idiotic point

most fans want to see the best fight the best in every division, whether or not they are elite. and no before you counter, being among the best 3 or 4 in your division does not make you elite

I'm interested in ATG and near ATG level fighters or at very least fighters with the potential to reach that level. I don't have a whole hell of a lot of interest in anything below that level.

          I agree.

I don't see whats so great about 21 title defences if almost all of them were poor opposition ranked outsie of the Top 5.

If that's what makes Joe Calzaghe an ATG then I can't understan how Sven Ottke isn't a future HOF'er and Ivan Calderon an ATG.

Is Bika a better fighter than Taylor, Pascal, Dirrell, Abraham or Johnson?

I'm hardly a "casual fan". I've been watching boxing for more then 35 years: I've seen the best and I have neither the time nor the energy to waste on fighters who's talent is, quite frankly, "a dime a dozen". Been there, done that, they're a movie I've seen a thousand times before.
