    carl froch's overrated resume

IT'S NOT CRITICISM JUST THE FACTS

people go on about froch's resume

people don't talk about how froch's last 3 fights have been against 2 guy's that just came off a loss and a 42yr old glorified journeyman with 14 L

out of carl froch's last 10 fights 4 have been against fighter's that won their last 6 fights

carl froch is a very good fighter he fought 2 young undefeated contenders, 2 former middleweight champions and a glorified journeyman

but people must realize when he fought a former world super middleweight champion he lost

and the super six is so overrated 3 european's against 5 americans

american tv company showtime should have named the tournament
Super five World Boxing Classic five of the best yank trying to do what no american has done before conquer 168

all carl froch has done is won joe calzaghe vacant title made 2 defences loss to mikkel kessler then won kessler's vacant title by beating a middleweight that just came off a loss then beat a 42yr old journeyman with 14 L

when he fought a former world super middleweight champion he lost. His next fight is against the world super middleweight champion what do you think going to happen?......

carl froch is the wbc paper champion mikkel kessler took his 0 and his belt remember

Froch is defintiely overrated. I remember everyone saying how great that Kessler/Froch fight was but that was the sloppiest throwdown I have every seen. Marquez vs Katsisdis put that fight to shame later that year. That was the definitition of a technical brawl.
The six has been disapointing because everytime you turned around someone was dropping out of it.

Wins over Pascal, Taylor, Dirrell and Johnson, and a close loss to Kessler? Yeah, we all know that the Dirrell fight was a close one. But he's fought nearly all the top guys at the weight and none of them have exactly destroyed him now, have they?

I kinda agree it is a tad overrated for instance i dont rate JT at 168 post Pavlik and Carl struggled that night i felt Dirrell did enough to outbox him Dirrell shoulda done more to cement the win but didnt still felt he won,the Kessler fight Carl did impress me but i had Mikkel winning just on sheer workrate in the end,Arthur Abraham is not the same force as he was at 168 but Froch boxed beautifully on the night and i feel the Glen Johnson win is a solid solid win.Thats just me it still is a very good run

It's not just the fact that he's fought all these fighters that makes his resume impressive, it's the fact that he's fought them all back to back, with most of them being on the road

              I respect Froch.

That said Ward is going to win when they meet.

Carl Froch should be in the p4p list.

                I put him above Ward.

I can't complain about the guys he's fought. However, I feel he's been overrated too much since Abraham. Pascal and Taylor are good wins, but even as a Froch fan I admit he lost to Dirrell. Against Kessler he didn't work hard enough to earn the win imo, but it was close and a great fight. He fought a great fight against Abraham, but you have to consider Arthur has been exposed as a very slow, limited fighter. Against Johnson, he started slow and produced a laboured performance doing enough to seal the win.

He's a good, tough, solid fighter who can box as well as fight but it's clear he really struggles against guys who are fast and can move.

Precisely. And it's all well and good looking back now and saying these things, but most of those fighters the TS was slagging off were tipped to beat him or at least to be very stiff challenges at the time he fought them. Abraham, whom loads of people now consider a joke, was tipped to KTFO him, probably by those same people. Ditto Johnson, who suddenly becomes an old journeyman after Froch beats him. The reason why these people do this is simple: they're c*nts.
