Serious question, is Mayweather taking a big risk of getting severely damaged?

    Very good post and observation.

I would have to argue that Leonard was alot more visibly and clearly in decline in 91 as opposed to Mayweather Jr in 2011.

And obviously Leonard had taken alot more punishment in 91 than Floyd has now.

I would also argue that Victor Ortiz isn't nearly as capable as Terry Norris at that point.

These are big factors that people are downplaying tremendously.

Ortiz is no washed up over the hill fighter.. he is nearing his prime, if he's not already on it and the guy is skilled and talented. Mix that with power, determination and huger and you got a killer combination.

You put him up against an overrated 34 year old fighter who hasn't fought in about a year and you got yourself a pretty good chance at pulling the upset.

Please. Don't try and make the fight something it isn't.

Mayweather UD. Ortiz wins 1 or 2 rounds max.

The train has departed and it will crash into what's put in its way September 17th.

It is what it is and you have to deal with the sad reality that the train is not stopping. Ortiz by TKO in the 6th..

You won't be here the day after Mayweather wins a UD, that is the sad reality. You registered about a month ago and you have nothing to lose except this alt account.

              Just being real man.

You have your opinions, but everyone saw Maidana/Ortiz. Wait until a superior boxer gets in there.

The layoff will play role but not the way you baklas are wishing and hoping for. Mayweather will walk through Ortiz and then face Manny, the prince of the Philippines.

Or do you mean literally competitive. I.e For arguments sake, Mayweather dominates Ortiz. Do you consider that to not be competitive? Although you believed it would be competitive?
There is no for arguments sake here. I was one that thought Floyd would avoid Mosley. Also thought he would be competitive & give Floyd hell. Turns out I was wrong bout that, period. The fight wasn't competitive, but that's not Floyd's fault. If Floyd absolutely dominates Ortiz, then I'll be wrong again & that would also mean the fight wasn't competitive. But I don't pass my opinion off as fact so there's no need for you to try an act like I do. There aren't many people that will sit there & try & say Mosley was competitive after the fight, because he wasn't. The fight was not competitive.

But, you are implying that Mayweather hasn't fought anyone legit for years. Are you not? Again, correct me If I'm wrong.
