De la hoya's name came out of Floyds mouth regarding something he did (left floyd sr). He just corrected it and said he didn't. Then gave his opinion...Floyd sr. is the best.

After looking at a lot of tape on Ortiz he doesn't use the jab enough and he can't get away from straight right hands. In all honestly Victor Ortiz is tailor made for Floyd. I honestly believe that Victor knows he can't win this fight, he's just doing it for the payday. That young hungry lion catchphrase is bs, they're just saying that to make people think that Victor has a chance but he doesn't. With all that said I have a feeling Ortiz will make Floyd touch the canvas at least once but all in all this will be a dominant victory for Floyd.
Good prediction . . .enjoyed it. I was kinda thinking the same. But, what if Floyd does touch the canvas like you predicted? He has never touched the canvas before, how will he react? I guess that's the question their.

Ortiz has touched the canvas a couple of times and in his last fight vs Berto showed he can overcome it. All of Victors apponents have touched the canvas when they faced him, that makes me believe Mayweather just might get knocked down...at least once.

-might be an interesting fight...floyd did say he was going to fight in the middle of the ring and not run.

A boxer's chemistry with his head coach is important to his success. For all we know, Floyd Jr could have had a couple of losses if he had stayed with his dad, because his comfort level with him is not the same as being with Roger. So Roger didn't make him, but he is very important in the Mayweather corner. Floyd's most dull fight was against Baldomir, was it a coincidence that Roger was not there? Ellerbe was Floyd's head coach for that night, basically Floyd was his own head coach that night. He did shut out Baldomir, but I think it would have been a lot better if Roger was there, we would have probably seen a more offensive Floyd.

That would be a trip and a half. Floyd jr. deserves it. Sr. didn't start getting pushy until jr. went way too far. then all hell broke loose. Floyd jr. refuses to give his pops any credit when he is the reason he is a millionaire in the first damn place. What a little prick.

If you think all Ortiz fights for is the paycheck, you must've missed the Berto fight.

I just think it was heat of the moment, they will make up and Floyd Jr will probably apologize. I mean I know first hand how **** can be between a father and son when they in and out of your life like that. We as fans just have the luxury of watching and not being watched.

Ortiz has either knocked out, or knocked down, every single fighter that he has ever faced. I sure hope that trend continues

I think that Ortiz will struggle to get to Mayweather unless he bases his offense around a firm stiff jab, otherwise I dont think his pressure will be as effective, and it will be too easy for Mayweather to time him coming in..... but he has a chance, especially if he manages to get to Floyd and turn it into a fight.

                  WARRR Ortiz !!

OK, good point. starsjuicebar pointed out that the Cordova Jnr fight was stopped early on cuts.

That was stopped in either the 1st or 2nd round, so it would have been interesting to see what happened as that fight unfolded.
