As Mayweather says, it looks different on the outside, going 41 fights unbeaten, winning 6 world titles in 5 weight classes and in most of these fights coming out with barely a scratch and rarely being caught clean is not easy in the slightest, I respect Ortiz, good fighter, strong, but I doubt he really thinks that, hes just saying it for cameras probably.
