the problem with wilder is he really needs to bulk up. hes beating the sconiers & alexanders now so the next step will be the zack page type fighter or even a higher step in a maddalone, minto, quezada, firtha or gavern...then we shall see...the sconier knockdown was just a simple growing pain but an alarm did go off when it happened. he's not the first guy to get dropped by a lesser opponent.

So true. Espn hasn't had him on their air waives . . . If he steps up in competition Espn will probably consider having him. Other than that, You'll keep seeing him on youtube fighting at colleges/small ballrooms vs overweight middleweight bums fighting at heavyweight.
This guy kinda reminds me of Tyron Brunson....Comment

I guess its ok for Manny Pacquiao to fight 49 bums before fighting a decent guy, and he still didn't learn to box. Deontay is in a very dangerous division, one mistake and its over in the heavyweights. His team is doing the right thing, by allowing him to learn slowly. He has the best natural gifts out of all the young heavyweights. His hand and foot speed is light years above the rest in his class. His jab is almost perfect with snap. Hes mastering the jab, and setting up that right hand. He moves around being illusive, something that is not easy to do. With time he will blits the heavyweight divison and take over the crown.

Most fans on here say heavyweight division is sorry, but I disagree with them. You say he is dangerous division, that means Klitschkos deserve more props for being as dominate as they have been.I guess its ok for Manny Pacquiao to fight 49 bums before fighting a decent guy, and he still didn't learn to box. I swear I've seen this same exact post at least 20 times here it's pretty played out now lol nobody is hyping Wilder up to be this amazing boxer. He's doing what he has to do and eventually he'll step up. You guys say that as soon as he steps up he'll get KTFO, so doesn't that mean he SHOULD be fighting taxi cab drivers until he improves enough to last with decent fighter?? He's skinny as hell and has a lot to learn. Give him some time before you judge him. Not everyone can step up so early like Helenius and Solis.Wilder is garbage. He has only fought bums, 18 fights, 18 tomato cans. He is just another overprotected American hypejob who will get exposed and KO'd when he steps up and faces someone with a pulse.
He recently got knocked down and badly hurt by Harold Sconiers.

Here's a video of the glass chinned Wilder is getting KTFO by Russian cruiserweight Evgeny Romanov...KO is at 1:50
The Russians dominated the Americans in every weight class in the tournament.

The criticism of Wilder by this ****** is even funnier considering he licks Wlad Klitschko's nuts every chance he gets.
And don't get me wrong, I love Wlad, but he fought about 25 tomato can opponents before losing to Ross Purritty.
How my math says that 25 is more than 18, so Wilder still has 7 more bums to fight before he has faced as many far inferior opponents as Wlad did before stepping up his comp (and losing I might add)
Plus lets not ignore the fact that Klitschko had a long and storied amateur career before going pro and fighting bums whereas Wilder is just learning on the job like Chavez Jr.Comment

Actually a few people have hyped up Wilder as the next big thing. To be fair though, they're mostly idiots like sweetscience who get shot down in seconds. You guys are some super trolls and haters.
Nobody is hyping Wilder, we know he is a prospect fighting cans.
His handlers are bringing him along slowly as they should.
He has some raw physical gifts, but needs to pack on some muscle, and hook up with a good trainer to become a better boxer.
I bet you guys are some huge Bute fans though, just look at the great competition he has faced lol.
I myself have got no problems with Wilder or his level of comp. But spend too much time fighting bums without moving up and you get stuck in a rut. Wilder's improvements are glacial and I'd have trouble even calling him a prospect at this point. He's just a guy making money fighting bums until he proves otherwise.Comment

Hes almost as good as that Mexican HW bum who is like 35-0 with like 33 KO!
Amazing!
I wonder how much can you really learn from fighting a fat construction worker?
Like others have said , Helenius is only in his 15th fight but already considered a true prospect and is having co-main events being shown in 10 diffirent countries around the world.
Wilder needs to fight someone like Butler.Comment
