Mayorgo is just a street tough, but he doesnt train hard. Like the saying guys fatigue makes a coward out of us.
Considering how little Mayorga supposedly trains, I wouldn't call him a fighter that gets way too fatigued. Only here recently did he look fatigued, but he's been playing Musical Weight Classes.

I don't believe Mayorga doesn't train much. Now, I'd believe he doesn't work on his boxing skill any, quite frankly because he has shown virtually no skill whatsoever. He must mainly do the gym exercises.

Phillips stopped Ward in 3. Trinidad took 9 rounds to knock out a former welterweight. I'd say Mayorga is definitely more tough.

Yeah, I figured it was. Still, Ward fought most his career right at 140 right. Maybe a couple pounds over 140 here and there. Mayorga fought a full-fledged middleweight Trinidad. I don't think Ward could've gone up to 154 and kept from being knocked out by Vargas.

Ward was tough, but I'm not convinced he was necessarily tougher than Mayorga. I will say this for Ward. He was more disciplined than a lot of full-time pro fighters today. He was just a part time fighter, possibly the best part-time fighter ever. That's saying a lot.

I would go with Ricardo Mayorga.

Micky Ward is one tough SOB, but Ricardo Mayorga has fought at a much higher level of competition.

yup. Ward of course was nothing but a glorified journeyman, same as Gatti.

Mayorga, heh, for all those that criticize Tyson, at least Tyson was a real boxer. Does Mayorga really qualify?
