both guys are iron tough, but ward was never KTFOd like mayorga, ward was constantly hit low against gatti and never complained, ward never talked smack and never gave excuses.

ward is the tougher S.O.B., but make no mistake, mayorga is no pansy, IMO hes just not as tough as ward.

iuno i think i gotta go with mayorga slghtly, hes only been down 3 time in his whole career. all in the same fight, and that was WAY out of his weight IMO.

and he tells the guy to thro punches as it head, ward didnt. but iuno, ward been in more wars
i think cuz the fact that ward IS vulnerable, at times, it amkes him more exciting, and more chances to prove that hes tough

but my pick is mayorga by a hair

Mayorga I think. He lived a much tougher life, being from Nicaragua and all. Those African village guys are pretty damn tough as well. If any bushmen box, they'd be about the toughest I think, you know, that **** where they live in loin cloths and their big source of water is like dew drops from leaves. That **** would suck.

And who was it that circumsized himself? OMG, how the hell do you do that?

Mayorga. Ward is not crazy enough to fight Tito at Middleweight. It would have been great to see these guys fight at Welter weight.

Mayorga complains to much, Ward never did. Ward epitomes toughness in a man. But I like Mayorga too, anyone that gives Trinidad a free shot on his chin, takes it and laughs in his face has my respect.

Mayorgo is just a street tough, but he doesnt train hard. Like the saying guys fatigue makes a coward out of us.

I would say ward,who never really had any illusions about who he was in the grand scope of things,but still went out there to do his thing.
