LAS VEGAS -- Victor Ortiz and Lamont Peterson fought to a majority draw in a 10-round junior welterweight bout on the Amir Khan-Marcos Maidana undercard Saturday at Mandalay Bay.
Ortiz (28-3-1, 22 knockouts) was the aggressor throughout but had difficulty landing clean punches against a very good defensive fighter.
The Oxnard, Calif., had his best moment in the third round, when he dropped Peterson twice, once with a left-left-right combination and again as a result of a flurry that sent him flying against the ropes.
The 10-7 round salvaged the draw for Ortiz.
That was at JWW ?
Pac used to get KTFO when he came in drained.Comment

all bull aside ,nor Pacquiao or Mayweather have fought a guy like Ortiz,in his prime fast with power in both hands ,same size, and can box alil.I'm a Mayweather fan but Ortiz is a very live underdog.Comment

I still don't understand if Ortiz was truly drained at JWW and killing himself to make weight. Why would he asked Berto for a catch-weight fight?
It just makes no sense.Comment

By live underdog you mean he's gonna lose every round on route to a UD loss right?Comment
