it's not the promoters it's how boxing is run. You replace bob arum and oscar and you'll just have another bob arum and oscar with different names. It's the money making business with no real structure so as long as it remains that way nothing will change but the faces.

I've been saying that since I joined. I cannot understand how the old guard keeps getting the lucrative spots.

I bet you agree with me when I say that Hopkins should have gone a loong time ago.

well maybe if these young guys were trained better and the amateur system they grew up in wasn't so pussified with their gay little point scoring then there would be young guys that could take old guys like hopkins out by now.

that too. HBO has definitely been a major part of of the problem overpaying the andre berto's of the world for years. Showtime does a lot better with a lot less and same with ESPN.

Hopefully now that Greenburg is gone we enter a new era.

i think they do a poor job of marketing and match makeing ....

canello and jcc shouldnt have belts we want real fights...

also ther should be better pr and marketing for the sport and better advertisement for upcoming fights.

and how are you going to do better PR and Marketing for the SPORT when promoters only promote their own fighters?

Bob Arum, Oscar, etc., they do great at marketing their OWN guys. But that's not helping the sport. So what I mean that it doesn't matter who the promoter is, it's the way boxing is?
