lmao, no **** it's the youngest division in the sport and barely anyone took it seriously for years. It was used as a stepping up from MW to LH.

      Roy Jones Jr
      Chris Eubank
      Bernard Hopkins
No coincidence that all three were past prime, 1 shot to ****, 2 over the age of 40.

And he was dropped by both of the guys over the age of 40.

      Legendary stuff.

OMG! Those guys are all time greats! Amazing how he fought Mario Veit in GERMANY but was apparently too scared of flying anywhere else and his fans use the excuse that he would never fight Ottke in Germany even though he fought there.

Two guys with 21 title defenses at the same time in the same division. Is this some sort of record in boxing? I bet it is.

                the real facts

                joe calzaghe vs chris eubank

joe calzaghe was 25yrs old had 22 fights never been 12 round only been 8 rounds once

chris eubank was 31yrs old had over 20 championship fights 45-2 only lost to 1 man by a SD

CHRIS EUBANK WAS IN HIS PRIME WHEN CALZAGHE BEAT HIM

                joe calzaghe vs Bernard Hopkins

Bernard Hopkins was the world light heavyweight champion when calzaghe beat him......Hopkins went on to become world light heavyweight champion again after calzaghe retired

BERNARD HOPKINS WAS PRIME AND STILL ON TOP OF THE GAME

                joe calzaghe vs roy jones

jones was in the top 5 in the world at light heavyweight he only lost to two people when calzaghe got to him.

so roy jones must have still been a good fighter to be ranked in the top 5 at light heavyweight

but there will always be haters with excuses

I know youre either a mindless fan or just messing with people, but I cant help to respond anyway. There is a 0 percent chance Eubank was in his prime. he had retired after the losses to Collins, and even before those fights he was clearly sliding since he was getting gift/controversial decisions over
the completely unranked Ray Close and obscure Dan Schommer.

not to mention he took the Calzaghe fight on short notice and was killing himself to make 175lbs. He had to make 168lbs with two weeks notice.
Eubank, meanwhile, had been training to fight Mark Prince at light heavyweight, but with just two weeks to get down to 168lbs the 31-year-old chose to accept the title bout - and vowed to take the young upstart "into the trenches".

and everyone knows that a 40+ year old man is not in his prime.
