I fear for Froch

I am a HUGE fan of Carl Froch. I am also British.

Carl’s recent run of fights is remarkable, and his success has been tremendous. But i think Andre Ward is a bridge too far. It’s the classic boxer vs brawler, and whilst not always exclusively so, the outcome is usually the same – the boxer comes out on top.

I think Froch’s plan to follow him and hunt him down to land that one big punch on the chin is a lacklustre plan, I can’t see him catching up with Ward.

I’m keeping everything crossed that I’m wrong, but this is a very tall order for Carl, and unless he does get to stick one on the button i think he’ll be catching flies with chopsticks all night.

I really hope Froch wins. He's awesome for the sport. Not saying that Ward isn't, because he is. But, Froch has a fighter mentality and better fights would be easier to make with Froch than with Ward. Froch is a road warrior, he's willing to fight anywhere. Can't say the same for Ward. Yes Ward fought everywhere as an amateur. But, as a pro, excluding a few fights early on against mismatches, he hasn't shown the interest of fighting everywhere.

Ward is all wrong for Froch. Sadly this is whats wrong in Boxing.

You got a guy who has no fans, no drawing power, no excitement, no KO power, no charisma vs a guy with fans, balls, drawing power, excitement, charisma.

Andre Ward will keep fighting in his country / state infront of 200 fans for the rest of his life, he will keep headbutting and lowblowing and clinching in every single round and he will never have a KO% higher than 50% (its at 54% now but its been going downhill every single fight since he can only KO bums).

What can Froch do? Retaliate, if Ward tries to clinch/headbutt/lowblow just take a step back and put all of his power into a Lowblow or behind the head punch. Make him feel the pain, make him question himself everytime he tries to be cheap, Knee him in the nuts, do whatever you have to do to win, call him a *badword* when you are clinched, say you will r@pe his moms if he lowblows you again. Make him get heated so he makes mistakes.

Now come on, that is a silly thing to say. I agree, Dirrell won the fight, but by a cigarette paper, and everyone knows you must take the title from the champion, not by running all night – and Dirrell ran, boy did he run!

I think Dirrell won the fight by a rd, but i have absolutely no issue with the judges awarding the win for Carl, he at least went out to fight.

And, Dirrell trying to give Froch head every time Froch got close is not something that guy who's winning the fight does.
