This guy is speaking the truth. It's as if people want to see a black fighter humbled. I watched interviews of both fighters that they did with the same person and Froch seemed way more arrogant than Ward. Froch was talking about how hes so big in the states and how they love him here. Never did Ward say anything like that.
Sorry But Andre Ward Comes Across As Arragont & Smug!

I want fighters to be confident in them self like that, a fighter is not going to go very far if they don't have that sort of belief in them self~
Maybe he is a fake but he certainly isn't fake like Oscar or anyone like that, so I don"t see the big issue~Comment

Got be honest, Johnny Nelson's book didn't jump out at me
Was scared to death I would fall asleep. But in all seriousness no I haven't but I can bet what it will consist of.
I like the 'Rocky' story also. Funnily enough I can't stand the Rocky films. But I do love an actual Rocky Story.
I mean, I was rooting so badly for Audley Harrison to beat David Haye even though I knew for a 100% fact he wouldn't win.
Just the sight and thought of Johnny Nelson leaves a sour taste in the mouth of the Boxing fans here in the UK that saw his career.Comment

What does "think he is better than everyone" actually mean?First off Ward is a exceptional talent and a world class fighter.
But on a personal level I feel he comes across as a arragont & smug Pr!ck. He seems to think he is better than everyone else and just comes across as plain arragont.
Were boxers like Sergio Martinez, Wladamir Klitschko, Juan Manuel Marquez, Mikkell Kessler & Shane Mosley. Look like nice down to earth boxers who seem to treat people with respect and dont have a chip on there shoulders.
Oh Well, That just me.
Or do you already have a perception of how you think he should act?Comment

Do you know where the interviews are? Thanks I'm not sure if it's about race it shouldn't be anyway, I've seen some people say the same thing about Pacquiao they don't think he's humble. Maybe some are being racist too it shouldn't be that though it's really wrong. But Pacquiao as well he's confident but humble too. This guy is speaking the truth. That's just bull. What a previous poster said is true Ward does seem to talk down to ppl and thats arrogant and it has nothing to do with being black. You take a fighter like Jermain Taylor(before he got mentally ****d) and you see confindence but not arrogance when he speaks.
Keep that black thing out of this, its like when extreme feminists claim they aren't sexists, they just want more rights than men.Comment

Its hard to be humble when your that good.First off Ward is a exceptional talent and a world class fighter.
