He jumped at the chance to fight Morales instead of an actual established JWW. Wonder if he'll reschedule the Guerrero fight.....doubt it.
He took the Corley fight to stay busy once the dispute was resolved.

Morales selected him. Not the other way around. Why not take a big money fight against a big name like Morales?

Regarding Guerrero, why is it up to Maidana to reschedule, Guerrero is the one who dropped out. Its up to Guerrero to reschedule. Maidana was ready to fight.

      Easy.... by not liking him.

I simply don't care for Maidana, if it wasn't for Ortiz not continuing to fight. Maidana wouldn't even be acknowledged.

He couldve fought Bradley after his "dispute" was over. But he didnt. He ducked him and fought Corley.

Then he fought someone considered a shot featherweight.

        What a warrior.

For the second time in less than a month, Marcos Maidana has withdrawn from a scheduled fight with WBO junior welterweight champion Timothy Bradley. The fight was originally scheduled to take place on June 19. Maidana, citing a back injury, withdrew from the fight on April 13. Maidana's team requested an extension of 20 to 30 days and the fight was rescheduled to July 17.

On Monday afternoon Maidana informed his co-promoter, Golden Boy Promotions, that his back was still bothering him, and he withdrew from the fight for the second time. Bradley's promoter Gary Shaw is not buying the "back injury" claim. Shaw tells BoxingScene.com that Maidana was unable to provide any medical documentation to confirm the initial back injury in April. He believes Maidana changed his mind about the fight and found a way to get out.

Shaw is not walking away quietly. He plans to involve the California State Athletic Commission. Shaw will petition the CSAC to force Maidana to honor the fight agreement. The current plan is for Bradley to move forward on the HBO televised date of July 17 with a new opponent. A few potential names will be put together in the next few days.

"I believe that he is a chicken, that he is running from Tim Bradley. I believe the first back injury was a fake. They couldn't provide doctor's records. They couldn't provide records that he went through treatment. His new name is "El Pollo." He can run but he can't hide. We had a deal between us and Golden Boy and I'm going to try to keep him in the deal through the commission. He obviously knew he was lucky against [Victor] Ortiz and when he knew that he had to face a real fighter, he runs like a scared chicken," Shaw told BoxingScene.com.

"What he did was totally unprofessional. According to Eric Gomez [Golden Boy VP], Golden Boy did not know about this. It was wrong to do this to [fight venue] Agua Caliente, who have been supporting boxing....or did support boxing. Just another boxer who burns another site. Right now we are looking at different opponents. It's a shame that boxing is not filled with heart and nuts. Instead we get sprinkled by chickens. He must have hurt his back carrying that bum he fought in Argentina in his last fight."

Why would he fight Bradley for 190k if he could fight Khan for 500k?

                    Hmm?
