kev...i get what you're pointing at...but you need to realize a few things...the layoff can only be beneficial to someone like floyd...think about boxing at this level...most boxers do a total of 8 weeks per training camp for 48 minutes in a ring...usually 2 or 3 times a year...that's 16 to 24 weeks of being in fight shape...accumulating what you've learned and concentrating it into less than an hour per fight...floyd is extremely gifted...meaning it dosn't take long for him to get back into fight shape...but the thing is that he stays in fight shape year round...dude has been in the gym since he left the ring last may...and his level of intelligence in the heat of the moment...he basically has a 5% chance of turning old over night...95% chance of relying on his skills (regardless of ware (if there is any)) and his ring iq...i've been watching floyd fight since he fought chico and i've never seen him panic, get flustered, seriously injured, get exhausted, or just give up for even a second in a round...it's led me to believe that he feels he needs to be in control every second of every fight...
