boxing fans hope bad fights do poorly b/c if gives promoters, networks, etc incentive to produce more compelling match ups, if fights where one guy is going to clearly beat the other consistently do well, why would that fighter choose to step up his level of competition, and why would the networks make him? they wouldn't and we would keep getting fights with a star vs. a no hoper, simple as thatComment
