Skelton should ease this out. He'll probably have problems as 90% of his style is leaning on people (Imagine if John Ruiz was bald, black and from London and you've have Skelton) but his chin appears to be solid. Certainly he's taken punches off people of McBride's calibre and not even blinked.
But it's what happens when Skelton has to face his next opponent (rumoured to be Lamon Brewster if he beats McBride) that he has to worry...
Skelton is amazing...the fight was supposed to be with Danny Williams but he does'nt want to fight Skelton anymore.
As Danny's chief nuthugger I have to point out that this was actually the other way round, and it was Skelton who recinded. The battle bus still rolls on!

LOL..fair comments, but do you think if a Skelton-Williams bout happened Danny would have won that?
I dont think so.. even when he fought Mike Tyson, tyson was fighting with one leg only...he injured the other one.

Tyson hammed that up for an excuse. Besides, that's Mike Tyson we're talking about. Even a faded Tyson (2004 model, not this year's) has to be more dangerous than the clubbing bear, right?
In all ways... skill, power, etc.... Danny should beat Skelton. Don't forget he ruled the domestic heavyweight division until it got predictable.
However... Danny's such a psyche head I think the crowd backing and Skelton's roughhousing would get inside his brain. I could well see Skelton beating him but he's not the better boxer.
Skelton will just club him to a 7th round TKO. McBride's only advantage would be his size.
Agreed! McBride beat Tyson yes, but he was a bum before and still is. Just cos Tyson couldn't handle him doesn`t mean he`s a good fighter. Skelton will have his way with McBride!
