Even if the sparring rumors are true, sparring is not always what would happen in an actual fight. Some crap boxers have beaten an unmotivated Floyd in sparring because Floyd wasn't taking the sparring session seriously.

As a HW, Toney would not beat Vitali. Toney is severely outmatched physically and Vitali's style thrives on using his size strength and reach advantage over his opponents. He's very good at it.

skill wise forget it toney by a mile but vitali at HW is too big of a size mismatch
Right! I guess I meant a james toney in great shape!

So no shot for toney at all?

You say he's too big for toney, do you see him knocking out toney?

Has toney ever gotten badly beat up?

Toney too small.... Vitali knocks him out.

I'm not sure Vitali knocks him out, but it would be a bit of a mismatch size wise. Vitali knows how to use his height, Toney wouldn't even be able to reach him.

Vitaly by decision. Toney isn't prime at heavyweight and sits on the ropes to much.

                If we assume a catchweight.

Prime Toney at say 190 when be beat Jirov...

Prime Vitali at catchweight of his lightest weight ever at 232...

Toney beats the everloving piss out of Vitali.

In my mind its the best ever defensive and most skilled fighters ever seen....versus a tall, strong, athletic robot who uses physical attributes to win fights.

Toney is smarter, faster, and 100 percent more technically skilled.

He is durable enough to last the early rounds. Takes Vitali deep, and drowns him.

Vitali would win an ugly decision, or lose by TKO because he torn his rotator cuff punching at a ghost.

Toney, even the version @ Heavyweight is over 9000x more elusive & slick than Chris Byrd. Also hits MUCH harder, was a excellent body puncher and would seize every single counter oppurtunity that is made available.

Vitali wouldn't land cleanly for the entire fight, his ribcage and kidneys would get turned to mush by Toney's body punching over the course of the fight .

Vitali either quits on his stool around the 8-10th, or the fight ends with Vitali on the ground writhing in pain suffering from internal bleeding.

Vitali would literally probably lose his life if he had've fought Toney. Which is why he ducked him in '04 when Toney was a top 5 Heavyweight, and instead decided to fight 2 journeymen and then retire for 4 years. Vitali knows himself that he would lose to Toney.

Im getting the feeling that most of these people only know Toney as the guy that fought in the MMA.

A fat, grotesque, out of shape version of James Toney beat Holyfield, Ruiz, Rahman, and Oquendo.

This same fat horror show aso got robbed TWICE against a prime Sam Peter.

There arent many natural, pure FIGHTERS out there.

Toney was one, and in his prime....would beat the european feces out of Vitali.

You need to go watch some tape on this man. Cause he is one the boxers that DEFINED what pure boxer/puncher was for a long time.

He is fat, mouthy ****** now. But is also a hall of famer.
