The only one I'm not picking Hearns over is Hopkins, and it's not like Hearns couldn't beat him.

YES... Not all of them by complete destruction, but definitely.

Hopkins is the only one that could win

If Mosley manages not to get knocked out, he loses by lop-sided unanimous decision eg Vernon Forrest (rip) only worse

Trinidad would get knocked out... Straight up

Pacquiao would get knocked out mid to late... No chance of winning on the cards before then

Floyd is always the wildcard do to his ability to adapt to his opponent. However in this case, its more "can he adapt so as to not get KO'd but lose by decision". Not "can he adapt and win".

I think the best way to look at it would be "If Hearns fought each of these guys 10 times would he win at least 6?"

I would say the answer is yes. Most of the guys on the list could potentially stop Hearns as obviously Tommy wasn't known for his jaw, but none of them have ever been up against a 6'1 beast with incredible speed and power in both hands.

He would crush Tito and if Mosley couldn't overcome the physical advantages of Vernon Forrest I highly doubt he'd have dealt with Hearns very well.

One thing I can say is that Mayweather nor Pacquiao would fight Hearns if Hearns were around right now. They'd be hustling to fight each other while the public prayed that the winner would have the nuts to challenge The Hitman.

Hearns could beat all of them, but I wouldn't favor him over Mosley. I'd bet money on him beating everyone else.

Edit: That was a typo. I mean to say I wouldn't favor him over Hopkins. I think he beats Mosley comfortably.

Why do people think Mosley would beat Hearns? I mean, really? Based on what?

If you're referring to my post, I actually meant to say Hopkins. Just wasn't thinking and mixed the names up.

I would pick Hearns to beat Mayweather at 154, Pacquiao at 147, Mosley at 147 and Trinidad at 147 also. He would stop Trinidad and Pacquiao imo, might of even stopped Sugar Shane.

Hopkins fight would be his toughest test, it's a fight he could win though. 50 -50 imo, both excellent boxers.

Hearns stops Tito. Great fight though.

Hearns over Pacquiao. Hearns is just too big, too much reach, too much power for someone who doesn't mind getting hit to get his own shots in. Not the smartest approach though against Hearns. Pac's speed would play a factor and unless Hearns begins reaching in giving Pac counter punching opportunities, I think he would come out the victor.

Hearns decision over Mayweather, or late stoppage. If Hearns were to fight from a distance and use his reach and pressure Floyd, could be a bad night for Floyd.

Hearns vs Hopkins would actually be really interesting. Hearns' best days weren't at Middleweight and Hopkins is without question one of the best Middleweights in the last 30 yrs. I'd favor Hearns, but BHop during his Middleweight days could crack.

Hearns vs Mosley could be a War. Hearns never had the "strongest" chin and a young Mosley was fast, great reflexes, and good power. Hearns though had the size, reach, and power Mosley even possibly today has never felt. I favor Hearns in a barn burner.

Mayweather would have had a nice shot.

2000 Shane Mosley has a good shot but I think he would have lost.

                    Trinidad, Pacquiao, would have lost.
                    , are you serious?

Tommy is all wrong for Floyd. All wrong.

I believe that Hearns would beat all of them, the only one with a possible chance to win being Trinidad. People are always forgetting that Trinidad was not merely a KO puncher, but was also a talented boxer when neccessary. He happened to fall in love with his power, which caused him to neglect his boxing ability.

His advantage in a fight with Hearns would be that he was an instinctive left hooker, and always threw the instant he felt an opportunity. I believe that he felt it before he saw it. A good example is the first rd with Vargas.

And I believe that like Hearns' KO from Barkley, he would only need ONE punch.
