From what I've seen of this guy Lacy, he's not very good. Maybe you've seen him in fights where he looked better. But I've seen four or five of his fights (including Sheika and washed-up Reid) and the guy is certainly not world-class and probably doesn't even have the potential to be world-class. He really struggled to punch with any accuracy in the bits and pieces I've seen of him, so hype him up all you want because if Calzaghe still has enough gas left in the tank he will humiliate this guy and it will over-rate the victory

Im not a diehard Lacy fan either but your post is ridiculous!

Lacy if anything is world class, Im a huge Joe Calzaghe fan any anyone on either side of the LACY/Calzaghe argument that states their guy will annihilate the other guy is just not very smart!

Sure you can point out a few victories where Lacy has struggled but can you do that with Joe as well? KABARY SALEM???

I dont know how good Left Hook is and I do think at this time he is overated but he is world class and he will give Joe Calzaghe (Im rooting for Joe) all he can handle for as long as it lasts.

What I will say for Lacy that I cannot, repeat cannot say for Joe is that he appears to be interested in making big fights no matter what! What other American champion that you know of has not only called out Joe Calzaghe but said I will fight in your backyard!(We will both drop dead before Joe even considers this) Lacy is a tough dude and he is willing to back it up, Calzaghe (again Joe is my boy) is a tough dude who is not so interested in backing it up.

Those are the facts son, I hope like hell that this fight does somehow come off and you will see a give and take war, not a one sided beating like you and many other morons envision...if it does not come off it is all on my boy Joe Calzaghe.

Lacy v. Calzaghe is a u pickem, period!

Jeff Lacy is a real good fighter with a lot of potential... I am a fan of Lacy but I also think that he can do much better than he does... If he can just bring himself to the next level then I can see him being a real problem for the 168 weight class.

lacy is ALL potential, hes got power and countering skills, all he needs to do is fine tune and he could be world class

I like that you said he was heavy handed, which I believe is an accurate statement. THe Robin Reid is a good example in that he just knocked Reid around, even though it wasn't nescesarily KO blows (although that could be Reid's tough chin).

His future is bright and the kid has talent.
Aren't you one of the people who completely disregard Calzaghe's win over Lacy?

Well maybe people shouldnt say Calzaghe never took a risk after beating Lacy who was given all this hype?

Maybe (Some, not all) Americans should stop moaning at us for hyping fighters after all this?

                    Bigger than Jones
                    Next Mike Tyson etc etc.

We dont hype our guys that much
