When Manny was holding his weight-loss competition, he insisted that the competitors be tested for a wide range of drugs because it was important to Manny that the competition was fair, that there was a level playing field, and that nobody was gaining an unfair advantage.

And NOTE: it did not matter that the competitors may not have committed any prior offenses relating to drugs or dishonesty, they were ALL tested, with NO excuses.

He passed a slow Margacheato who has a punch with a high KO ratio for a slow Baldomir who has a low KO ratio. He passed a toughed prime Miguel Cotto for a lesser Ricky Hatton. Now his fighting a young new champion Victor Ortiz, who is a cry baby and a quitter.

Genaro Hernandez was a world champion at 130 and was favored to beat Mayweather when they fought in 1998 (unlike Mosley, Margarito, Hatton and De La Hoya, who were all recently beaten former champions when Pac fought them). Carlos Hernandez, who Mayweather beat in 2001, went on to become a World Champion after Mayweather beat him. None of the four (Mosley, Margarito, Hatton and De La Hoya) will ever be a world champion again. Mayweather tried to secure a fight against Hatton at 140 in what would have been Mayweather's first fight at 140. Hatton's promoter, refused to put him in the ring with Mayweather at 140. Mayweather also called out Cotto at 140, but their promoter, Arum, refused to put Cotto in the ring with Mayweather at that time. Mayweather called out Kostya Tsyzu, but Kostya chose to fight Hatton instead. Baldomir was the ring magazine champion at 147 when Mayweather fought him and was rated higher than Margarito. Pac could have fought Victor Ortiz, but Pac refused because Ortiz hasn't been knocked out or beaten in a recent fight. And last, but not least, the only ones who consider Pac/JMM a better fight than Mayweather/Ortiz is you and your fellow worshippers of the Almighty Pacqauio.
