Pacquiao-Mayweather Drug Talk seems endless, which has good and bad points. On the one hand, it should be discussed because the fight is that big; on the other hand, we get to a point where we hear the same nonsense, a lot of which is based around drug testing. I want to preface everything I am about to say with the fact that, while I do not like Floyd Mayweather as a person, I have absolute respect for him as a fighter. His choice of opponents since moving to welterweight has been HIGHLY questionable, but I am not the type of person to call him a “bum,” etc. just because I do not like Floyd the person. Too many people get far too emotional when they discuss things like sports. I have found it interesting that so many people I talk to have their one favorite fighter and that’s it. Some people like Floyd, and everyone else sucks. Some like Manny, and everyone else is trash. I like a lot of fighters, I love boxing, and I can be honest about my
opinions in any boxing discussion. Along those lines, it needs to be said, Floyd is not at all comfortable with the idea of fighting Manny.

It seems there are a fairly decent number of u on here alleging, if not flat-out accusing Pacquiao of being a steroid user. My first question is, where were all these people before Floyd, Sr., Roger, and Floyd, Jr. started yapping about it? You know the world we live in, where rumors about anything swirl from second to second. There was never a breath spoken in public about Manny possibly being on steroids before Floyd was in a position of public demand to fight Pacquiao.

If this wasn’t really about Manny specifically (which we all know it is) and was truly about “cleaning up the sport,” I’d like someone to count the number of cards that have been promoted by Golden Boy (Floyd’s actual promoter at this point in his career) or Mayweather Promotions since Floyd made those comments. After we have that number, how many of those fights included random drug testing? It seems Floyd vs. Shane and Ortiz may be the only ones.

Another bullet point from the Mayweathers was about how Manny’s knockout percentage was increasing along with his rise through the weight classes. Floyd decided to meet Marquez (a career featherweight) in what basically turned out to be a welterweight fight. But, let’s go back to the two fights Marquez had previous to fighting Floyd. Marquez, in his first fight at lightweight, knocks out Joel Casamayor, who had never been knocked out before. In his very next fight, Marquez knocks out Juan Diaz, a fighter who hadn’t been knocked out before. So, a guy who spent the majority of his career around 126 jumps to 135, knocks out two very legit fighters, but we don’t hear a peep about drug use. I am in NO way insinuating Marquez ever used ANYTHING; my point is, Marquez moved up in weight, knocked guys out, but for some reason it’s only su****ious to the Mayweathers when Manny Pacquiao does it.

There are so many things wrong with this post
let me start by stating my two fav all time fighters are SSM and Evander Holyfield both steroid users. I dislike the may Floyd carries himself but have had the privilege to talk to him on a one to one basis and he isnt the same as when the spotlight is on him. I still dislike him.
ok now moving on to the first thing
the mayweathers made the statment about pac after he had moved up and started knocking bigger guys out. The reason no one made any comments about steroids before is because he was in lower weight divisions where he only moved upi a few pounds like from 122-126 then to 130 not from 122-147 and still knocking guys out that is a 25 lbs difference
second JMM went up only 9 lbs and 3 weight classes and we all saw how he struggled with floyd at 144+
he doesnt belong there yet manny makes him fight there just like floyd did and you dont seem to have a problem with it?
why?
and dont say its cause they fought twice because that was over 3 years ago and 17 lbs lighter 21 if you count the fight at 126

this i agree...thats the reason i was relieved because pac said yes to testing and return the ball to floyds court...lets just see how it plays out...im just baffled with the people who said pac didnt agree and they want it in writing for them to believe pac...lol...funny mofos...as if floyds words are golden

See this is what kills me. Agreeing to tests wasn't the major issue, negotiating the cutoff was. If you are negotiaiting a cutoff date then you are not agreeing to OST. Its really that simple.

Manny has yet to agree to completely random testing, unless you count the things Bob said in July 2010.

It's not true that Manny agreed to random testing. He agreed but he wants a cutt off date. Now if you want to argue and debate about the cutt off date then go ahead but there has never been an agreement.

If it was in writing, nobody not even Floyd could keep repeating "take the test". If he signs a document and or contract its done. No more talking unless its Floyd saying lets fight and signs the contract (too).

The he said she said would be over no? Verbal agreements don't mean shyt in business. Write that shyt down and sign it. Its really really really not that hard. If he took the time to sign papers to fight Floyd in a court room, its not hard to sign a document or contract to "agree" to random testing to fight him in a ring.

the big diff is b-hop and martinez didnt get stronger and faster as they got older. and thats why people question if pac is using. b-hop and martinez use skill and boxing no how to win. not blowing out fighters in a way they never did before.

Its the cutt off date that is important guys. Seriously, how the **** can you have random testing be truly a random test if there is a cutt off date? If some of you guys think Manny is clean then thats fine but learn what the hell a random test really is.

If you support Manny then what you are saying is random testing shouldn't be done.

Pac is just the new fad for today. I've seen it for years now. Floyd's always ducking someone.... lol When he fights Pac, there will be a "new" one lined up he's ducking. The cycle never ends player.

he is faster than almost anyone at WW because he is coming from lower weight divisions and is small for a WW just like floyd and berto
but yet he has more power
to me the suspect things about manny are the excuses for not testing and the power to knock guys out at this weight
his stans say well he was weight drained and now this is his natural weight
how can it be when he hasnt even made the weight
his suited weight class is either 135 or 140
the same guys that are saying that he is at his natural/best weight at 147 are the same ones saying he is too small for WW
