I favor Ortiz over Floyd NOT because Ortiz on paper has what it takes to beat Floyd, but because of Floyd's inactivity and ring rust will take toll then by that Ortiz has a chance.

Well good on you. Its amazing how many people want to discredit fighters that Floyd faces just because that hate Floyd. After the fact its always Floyd didn't win the other guy just ******. The only problem with that logic is, most of Pac's accomplishments that made him famous of late where against fighters that "suck" because Floyd already beat them.

The reality is, Mayweather has fought guys coming off KO performances. Hoya, Hatton, JMM and Mosley where all coming of KO wins when Mayweather fought them.

Where as Cotto had a SD win, and Clottey, Margarito and Mosley where coming off there worst performances of there careers.

Ortiz vs Mayweather will be a good fight. Ortiz will be there to fight and get hit. He has power and with the lay off from Mayweather it will make it interesting.

Floyd, if he truly wanted this fight, should have at least acknowledged this and called the bluff.
But he didn't. He and his fanatics just kept on pretending that those statements were never said. All they do is to continue to recite the stale mantra, 'take the test, take the test' like some drug-crazed nuts who keeps repeating the same thing over and over. One can only conclude that reason has abandoned this sorry people ever since Floyd was exposed as a coward.

If Manny was Arum's sock puppet and did what he commanded he wouldn't have shat a brick about not getting the bigger slice of the pie against Hatton and made Arum dip into his own pocket to get the fight signed, and he wields much more influence in the sport now than he did then.

its all down to hardwork. and pac was already special before he moved up. in his featherweight days he was already considered a great. he won his fiorst title at 19. ernard hopkins improved as he got older and so has martinez. Floyd is just making excuses.

the big diff is b-hop and martinez didnt get stronger and faster as they got older. and thats why people question if pac is using. b-hop and martinez use skill and boxing no how to win. not blowing out fighters in a way they never did before.

That's exactly what he is saying, and he is saying that he believes he has done so with the aid of PED's, and would like to make sure everything is on the level. Now the other guy has already walked from the fight before over drug testing, why would Floyd suddenly back down now.

How is this news?? Ofcourse Floyd wants OST because he perceives Manny is a threat. Why else would he bother?? Now if he thought Manny was on PED's before what must he think now after we've had 101 excuses from MP and his cohorts???

I don't hate the guy mate. I'm a fan of his too.

But the kind of skillset and style Floyd has, he needs for him to be active you see. Those vacations and lay-offs, even those once-a-year fights will definitely deteriorate his skill level.

Floyd IMO has the best timing to speed ratio ATG, that explains his accuracy. And coupled with his impenetrable defense he is really a puzzle that's impossible to figure out. And all of that is based on his reflexes, and ring rust is a killer for those alone.

We'll find out soon enough if his reflexes dwindled, coz that's his mojo, always been.

Maybe Floyd's really believes Pac is on something? Who factually knows what his motives are.

The fact still remains that no matter what his motives are, the blood testing IS IN FACT a better testing standard appose to the current failed system.

Regardless of Floyd, the testing is better and until Pac signs to agree to the better testing standard we will probably hear Floyd repeat him self until Pac understands what it means to "agree" in English. Then again, Bob knows and when he's ready, he will make the fight.

Remember Bob didn't think Cotto was ready for Mayweather and Bob didn't think Mayweather was ready for Hoya. Bob was fired by Floyd for attempting to protect him and his fighters from other fighters and large pay days. Bob has an agenda and when he's ready he will understand what it means to "agree" to the testing. Like Mayweather, Bob understands Pac can make a lot of money without Floyd. The only problem is the opposition he "selects" for Pac is been in question for years and its starting to backfire on him. Will he recycle his shot fighters for a second time? Or will he make the fight with Mayweather/another promotional company?
