Ortiz stepped up in class twice...drawing with Peterson (looking unimpressive) and beating Berto (looked very good)

Now that's not very impressive, but let's look at what Maidana has done

Stepped up in class once against Khan and lost

Barely beat Chop Chop who had lost 2/3 lost of his last fights to journeyman

Barely beat a 100 year old Morales who arguably lost his last fight to an unknown journeyman

Since beating Ortiz, Maidana has taken 2 tune-ups since then which have gone horribly wrong

Ortiz hasn't looked impressive either, but at least when he takes soft touches, he beats them soundly
