In a rematch Mares fixes both. If there were no low blows he would've dominated this fight. I think Mares wins the rematch for sure.
I disagree. Mares is the younger, fresher, faster...yes.

Agbeko has a lot of success in that fight, especially 8,9,10,11.

Agree but I attribute that to Mares starting so fast which is not something he usually does. In the rematch I assume he fights at his "normal" pace and stays fresh for the long haul.

That pace is what helped him, he was too fresh for Agbeko early and Agbeko had to adjust. He tried things he never does, like laying on the ropes (which didn't work out for him). He took a long time to adjust to Mares' underrated boxing ability and speed.

Multiple low blows round after round has to do something to your psyche.....i know I would have been thrown off my game.

Makes sense that if there are no low blows Agbeko isn't as damaged and is fresher the whole fight. That said he seemed to walk through the low blows like they weren't hurting him. Maybe he just has a high pain threshold.

I'd love to see them two fight a fair fight, I think they're a great style matchup, two aggressive boxers with skills period.

Exactly just because a fighter is faster or more athletic doesn't make him better. Sometimes people get caught up with the flash and commentators and ignore whats actually happening in the ring.

Here's a screenshot of the e-mail reply I got back from Russell Mora this morning. Haven't seen anyone else report that they'd gotten a reply, and I have a feeling he's just sending the same response to every e-mail he's gotten, but regardles...here it is:

Figured everyone deserved to see his reply in lieu of him ****ing up everyone's night on Saturday.

Check my signature for my write-up on the fight too, if you haven't read enough on it already.

                  Thanks.

Not to be an unforgiving jerk, but it's not like he would admit if he was just ignoring them for whatever reason he had. He wasn't just missing them, he was in plain view and ignoring them.
